Maybe it was Jim Hofher. ::nut::
Differences of opinion! Win 2, drop a spot or Win 2 go up 3 spots....I'll take the rising poll (not to mention the first place vote!)
Okay. . .I'm a bit slow after a long Monday but who votes in the USA Today poll and who votes in the USCHO poll?
With the difference in the two polls one might think the two sets of votes are watching different hockey teams. ::nut::
just a thought. . .:-)
The writer who gave us the first place vote must be the same writer who always puts Marshall in the football top 25 and Gonzaga in the basketball top 25.
:-P
Doesn't that post get recycled at least once a year? :-D
USA Today is coaches only. It's the USA Today/AHCA Coach's Poll (AHCA being the American Hockey Coaches Association)
USCHO is 40 voters, a majority of which are coaches, but a good amount of which are writers, broadcasters, etc...
so it was either the PU or Yale coach then? ;-)::rolleyes::
I don't know who it was ... but since neither of them vote on the USCHO poll, that means they are a distinct possibility.
It was you Adam, wasn't it? ;-) j/k
I'm thinking it was the Brown coach, Roger Grillo (if he gets a vote). Strategically seems to be the best move. He wants to gain national recognition for his 3-0-0 squad in a weak conference. How does he do this? He votes a fellow conference (and League) member #1 in the nation.

> Gonzaga in the basketball top 25.
Hey now, the Zags have deserved their high rankings the last few years. They can certianly kick the crap outta anybody on the west coast.
