Looks like Adam D'Alba of Brown won't be playing for the team again. I'd love to be able to tell you more details than that, but I'm too cheap to purchase a USHR subscription. So instead, allow me to copy and paste ttnorm's description from the USCHO Fan Forum:
"USHR is reporting that Adam D'Alba is through with hockey but will stay on at Brown as a student. He'll be missed for sure."
Strange that he'll still be a student as opposed to going to the pros of some sort.
D'Alba was a three year teammate of Topher Scott on the Chicago Steel. If the reason he's quitting has to do with dissatisfaction with the Brown hockey program, perhaps he'd consider transferring. There are probably NCAA rules about approaching a player on another team. There's obviously more to this story that we don't know.
This is entirely unfounded speculation, but maybe he picked up some sort of injury that he can't play through.

Nickerson isn't anywhere near Providence though, I don't see how that could have happened.
::whistle::

Q: "What do you get for the man who has everything"?
A: "Penicillin."
For a moment I thought O'Byrne had gone pro. Whew...
Or in your case, a dose of civilty and humility.
Or in your case, thicker skin.
Rich, good to see you're still around. How's Clarkson's lacrosse team doing? Canadians call it field lacrosse. They're pretty damn good at it.
