Title: Lacrosse vs Brown - Sea of Red
Post by: peterg on April 24, 2006, 02:46:23 PM
Just a quick note to those of you who will be in attendance this Saturday for the Men's lacrosse game against Brown.  For the third year in a row, lacrosse alumni have taken the initiative to create a "sea of red" in the stands with special Cornell lacrosse t-shirts to be available at the game.  As Coach Tambroni has said "Any one who has attended one of our past two Quarter final games ('04, '05) knows the significance of the wave of RED t-shirts in the stands. This year we will be honoring the '71 and '76 championship teams on April 29 during the weekend of our Brown game...It has been an amazing sight coming out of our locker room to the "Sea of Red" and I know that our guys certainly appreciate the support."

It's the last regular season home game.  Time for a big turnout.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll report here that Boulukos and McMonagle are among the 23 players still on the Tewaaraton (think Hobey) list.

Maryland, contending with Cornell for a high tournament seed, came back from a 6-1 halftime deficit to win, 10-9, tonight.  The Terps play Virginia Sunday for the now three-team ACC championship.

We could have used a UNC victory. I'm fearful of going against Virginia any time before the final game. Let's postpone the inevitable until the very end. Or is Virginia possibly beatable ... and they just haven't run into the team that'll do it?
