jersey and made speeches as usual. They even gave Raheem (student manager)
a framed jersey.
At the end Mike announced that the team had voted:
Captain: Byron Bitz
Assistant Captains: Ryan O'Byrne, Mitch Carefoot, Topher Scott
Three assistant captains? That seems like a lot...

It worked pretty well in 04-05
I apparently have a short memory :)
I'm with Liz. 3 A.C.s is a bit much.
Is 3 AC's better or worse than tri-captains? Haven't had that in a while, but it's happened. The 'A''s are really just an honorific anyway.
Did Shaf make any mention of the mysterious injuries he wasn't going to address until the season was over?
Is anyone else really surprised that McCutcheon won't be wearing a letter next season?

Not really. On-ice improvement doesn't necessarily correlate with the rest of the team's perceptions of leadership ability. Mike Iggulden improved significantly between his sophomore and junior years, and ended up wearing an 'A' for his senior year. Dan Pegoraro also improved significantly between his sophomore and junior years, but didn't get to wear a letter his senior year (and he technically had two chances to get voted in as well, after Hynes' departure).
