Title: [Marginally OT]: Financial Icehockey (sic) World Cup

Yep, this sounds just about like a couple colleagues of mine:

An interesting read that contains no earth shattering revelations for anyone who's worked in finance and/or hung out with guys who play hockey. The (possible) Cornell tie-in comes in the bottom two paragraphs of the second page. Enjoy.

There are community-wide all-night pub crawls in Reykjavik which every able-bodied adult takes part in.  It's the basis of their entire economy.

Sleuthing around hockeydb.com, I discovered that our David Adler was born on April 6, 1977, making him 29, not the 26 mentioned in the article.  But still a fun read :)
