If "The Pep Band" has a problem with us dragging out "Die" and "Drop dead" lines, maybe he/she should try picking up some of the rest of the cheering in Section A. If you realized that the same people who yell "'Dieeeeeeeeeeeee,' like morons" are the ones who yell the entire game and everybody else in the section supports, you wouldn't be so quick to comment. Maybe the poster is jealous you just can't hold a yell that long.
However, I agree on the ant-Britney sentiments. That song, and any integration of it into the rink sicken me.

Um, Mike, people in the pep band yell as much if not more than most of the people in every other section. And, very often, more creatively. Back off. I understand you may be offended at being referred to as a moron, but I think that last poster was just expressing his or her opinion of how "Dieeeeeeeeeeee...." happens to sound. That's all.
I don't yell "Dieeeeeeeeee" anyway. I'm the drop dead man.

As a Tuba player, I can tell you that not only does it sound horrible, it throws off our timing when we are playing. If this extension were to cause us to mess up Swanee against Harvard or any other hated opponent, I'm sure this 'tradition' would end. Hopefully it won't come to that.
Two notes:
1) Playing "oops I did it again" is so Yale. I do find it amusing that they played "Hit me Baby one more time" when I last saw us play them (@ the Whale last year). Don't worry, he will.
2) I am not a fan of the drawn out Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Looks about as good written out as it sounds.
