Way to go RED!!!!!!!!!!!!
MSU is up 1-0
6 NCAA tourny games = the best day of the year for college hockey fans. :-)
does anyone know of online audio for the games we aren't in?
not sure about audio ... .but you can watch the UNH vs. MSU game here:

Look how empty the building is.

Maybe the UNH fans are still on the road.
Does Bob Norton have a job?
Does Bob Norton have a job?
Does over-the-hill ass-wiping blowhard count?
Andy W.
"Good thing for Maine, Harvard has been bounced from the first round of the tournament the last four years." - Mike Hall of ESPNU
That was a bit of a pick me up, but then Bob Norton counters with...
"Colorado College scores a lot of goals, and Cornell doesn't score many, so I'm taking Colorado College."
That's some in depth analysis

Do we? :-)

Game on. 3:45 gone by in the second, still 1-0
did anyone just see potter's crosscheck/roughing penalty. What a dirty player. I still remember him from the Cornell MSU series at the beginning of the year. I guess not much has changed in terms of him on-ice conduct since then.
second period over, still 1-0 MSU
MSU 1 UNH 0 Final
At least one person on USCHO noted the bouncy boards in Albany.
so where do i go for the bemidji/wisconsin game? I didn't see it on Rita's summary...
For those with Directv
2:30pm - FSN (641) for Bemidji/Wisconsin
3:00pm - Altitude (644) for Harvard/Maine
For those without:
Harvard-Maine video: http://ne.cn8.tv/channel/channelhome.asp?lChannelID=647
Bemidji-Wisconsin audio: http://www.kkbjam.com/stream.php
I heard a hearty *RED!* :-) :-) :-) (Prior to the Wisco-Bemidji game)
Getting a message for "unable to connect to server" for the 1st stream from kkbjam maybe because of too much traffic, but can't access page for link to 2nd stream they put up expecting excess traffic. Any advice?
"Can't find page" when click on link for audio on Wisconsin's website, either.

or here http://www.uwbadgers.com/game_day/archive.aspx?ID=2998
5 minute major on Wisconsin for a check from behind.
BSU to the PP.
Senior forward Ryan MacMurchy of Wisconsin gets called for a 5-minute major and a game misconduct. 5-minute PP for Bemidji
Albany is looking really empty now.
Albany is looking really empty now.
People on USCHO were going on and on about how well Maine travels.
Wisco leads 1-0 - just got the audio on, so i dont know who scored for them

Their showing is still better than Harvard.
And the Time Warner Sports feed just crapped the bed ::help::
Their showing is still better than Harvard.
Harvard students won't go the three T stops to the Beanpot.
CN8 has lost its feed...experiencing 'technical difficulties'
Sounds like it's a problem on ESPNU's end
CN8 has lost its feed...experiencing 'technical difficulties'
I think everyone lost the feed from Albany. There was mention on ESPNU and I was watching Altitude.
Harvard ties Maine 1-1 halfway through the first period.
At least we get to see sports bloopers hosted by Mike Golic :-P
Maine scores immediately -- about three goals in a minute. Maine 2 Harvard 1.
1:41 apart - feed up
That second Maine goal was weak
2-0 Wisco, 26 seconds into the 2nd
2 hours until the real game...
2-1 Maine after 1....off to the Cornell gathering....enjoy all and LET'S GO (REAL) RED!
2-0 Wisconsin in the second. Damn.
2-0 Wisconsin in the second. Damn.
Meh. If they're going to get through, might as well be against the best.
Just found an All Access link at Harvard's hockey website.

I got bitch slapped for suggesting that yesterday. And not even with respect to Cornell. :-)
Sounds like Bemidji is having problems getting shots on goal, even during the power play.
edit: Elliott has 5 saves.
Start of 2nd period. Sucks announcer said Maine shot chart from 1st looked like target practice on Daigneau. Said Harvard players trying to do too much individually and not working puck around well. Why couldn't they have had these problems last Saturday?
Harvard good pressure against Bishop early 2nd. Announcers saying much playing much better than in 1st. 15:48 left 2nd
3-0 Badgers
3-0 Badgers
It isn't as close as the score...

Maine back to a constant attack, now. Hahvahd barely hanging on.

Shots 32-6
3-1 Maine:-(
Maine puts another one in right after their PK expired, 3-1 Maine... alright, I'm off to Boston :-P
Maine 3-1 :-)
3-1 Maine Harvard not getting much possession after 1st few minutes of 2nd
"strange bounce off the boards" in middle of earlier play-by-play
about off to Boston myself....
what is up with Sucks in the NCAA tourney......
Maine 3-1 :-)

3-1 Maine:-(
I couldn't decide which face to use...I guess both apply :-)
Harvard announcer just said something like "Maine not just better than Datmouth or Cornell... but worlds better." I don't know about that jsut because of 1 game
:-(
what is up with Sucks in the NCAA tourney......
If you watch South Park did you see the one where the kids try to throw Little League games because they're sick of playing? But their opponents don't want to move on to state tournaments, regional tournaments, etc. either.
if Cornell and Harvard loses, without winning a game in the NCAA does that mean Atlantic Hockey is better ::yark:: This is a big IF of course.
Another "funny bouce", and the announcer references last weeks bounce. Karma??

I guess we could have found out in Florida. Oh wait.
Sounds like the way UCONN has been playing basketball over the last few weeks, except somehow they keep winning anyway.

Short answer: no.
Long answer: no, don't be silly.

You may want to avoid the USCHO board if this happens.
4-1, Maine. Turn out the lights, the party's over. Again.
It's now 4-1
Another "funny bouce", and the announcer references last weeks bounce. Karma??
At what point do they stop refering to it as a "funny bounce" and instead a normal bounce off of shitty Albany boards?
Hahaha, that was funny. The Harvard announcer says that since the Crimosn blew a 4-1 lead to Maine, this isn't safe. 10 points for creativity.

With the boards and AHL lines etc. what exactly is the ECAC getting for its money in Albany?
Maybe it just takes so much to beat us that teams have nothing left for their next game. See UHNx2 and now Sucksx2 (assuming this goes the way it appears) having had to go through us before losing in their very next NCAA game. :-P

You're forgetting the many amenities and the beautiful environment of the Capitol District.
fruuustrated! Sucks gets a double minor, w/Maine getting a single.
Slashing on H!
Now announcer says trying to find positives- Harvard hasn't played well with lead in NCAA's and still 26 min left.
maine now has a 5 on 3
Harvard announcers don't agree with call at all. They hope refs will even it up.
Harvard isn't even sending players to take the faceoff now ::rolleyes::
ESPN Announcers say Maine has won something like 110 games in a row when they have the lead after two periods.
Now 5 on 4
full strength
I still can't believe we lost to these guys!
28-13 shots
H looks helpless with 2 mins to go in the 2nd
if Cornell and Harvard loses, without winning a game in the NCAA does that mean Atlantic Hockey is better ::yark:: This is a big IF of course.
It means Cornell might be able to improve its SOS by playing even more AH schools. ;-)
Maine w/a DUMB penalty w/1 min to go

Is there any word yet on our OOC opponents for next year? I saw on the USCHO board that Harvard is supposed to be at the GLI v. Michigan State with Michigan vs. Michigan Tech as the other game. Throw in Harvard's usual BU and BC games plus the Beanpot and that's a pretty good schedule.
Off to a friend's house where a group of us are going to watch our game on a big screen. LGR!!!!
With the wisconsin game still going, are we going to have a late start. Isnt there a rule you have to have an hour in between games?
Harvard is 0-2 on the power play.
4-0 Wisconsin
With the wisconsin game still going, are we going to have a late start. Isnt there a rule you have to have an hour in between games?
I don't know the answer to that but I assume the TV commitments would make it so that would try to start the second game as close to the published time as possible.
i want cornell to go to the frozen four, but, I dont think we stand much of a chance against wisconsin if we win tonight. That's also a big IF. I'm not feeling to optimistic these days.
also a dumb question but how do post something without it being under the reply to another persons topic.
9:35 left in the 3rd in Green Bay

The glass is being repaired after a big Maine hit
i'm pretty sure thats the same piece of glass that was loose during one of the games last week....good thing the pepsi arena decided to use their time wisely and fix the glass completely.
Play resumes. 16:00 left
Harvard is getting pummeled. This might make many of you happy, but I think it reflects very poorly on our league. When is the last time a non-Cornell EZAC team won an NCAA Tourney game? Please tell me it's not St.Lawrence the year they made it to Anaheim.
4-0 Wisconsin FINAL
Maine just misses!! They missed 2 or 3 prime opportunities during the long power play in the 2nd
Another H penalty.
Pregame show is on. Free from all access: http://allaccess.cstv.com/media/school_epg.jsp?sid=700

Holy crap I'm so nervous! Wish it were game time already.

5-1
Yeesh.
is the start time 6?
5 years now of 1 and done for Harvard?
is the start time 6?
Someone posted on USCHO that the Time Warner broadcast announced the game would start at 6.
5 years now of 1 and done for Harvard?
At least they're consistent. :-D

Yup. Unprecedented. They should be proud: http://www.tbrw.info/ncaaHistory/ecacNCAARecordsByTeam.htm
North Dakota leads Holy Cross 1-0 about halfway through the first.
2-0 now
HC on the board. 2-1 now. Go Crusaders!
3-1 ND now
NoDak got one back. 3-1 now, end of 2nd.
HC PP goal. 3-2 ND early in the 3rd
NoDak answers quickly, 4-2 Sioux
ND PP goal ... ND 4-2 now.
5-2 now
End of Third... ND wins it, 5-2 ... Going to the Frozen Four again.
