Doesn't seem like we're the only ones thinking that our team has some holes.
There's a poll question on ESPN's College web pages asking which NCAA #1 seed (yes, hockey) is *least* likely to make it to the Frozen Four:

But more interestingly, it breaks the results down by state. The state of Minnesota apparently thinks that Minnesota is least likely to make it (by a good 9%), Wisconsin thinks that Wisc is (by 18%), Michigan think that MSU is (by 23%), and Massachusetts thinks that BU is the least likely (by 10%). The rest of New England, except Ct, votes for BU too - often by larger margins.
This does fit in with the general observation that there aren't any real dominant teams this year, and when you watch your team enough, you certainly see the flaws.
About the only states that may be bragging are ND, who agrees that Minnesota is the least likely to advance past this weekend, and Ohio (i.e. Miami-Oh) who agrees that BU is the least likely). Possibly joined by the BC fans in Massachusetts.
Fans of each team probably know their team[s injuries and failures-to-gel better than they do their opponents'. We know Chris Abbott was banged up and may or may not play this weekend; we know a lot of defenders are coming off injuries and may nto be 100%. We know (well, we're not alone) that goaltending struggled. But what do we know about what's wrong with CC?
But it's a good observation about the geographical breakdown of naysayers. More useful than the "Which rink has the nicest penalty box" polls.
My first take was that people read the poll wrong. The pattern of answers is more like homers saying their team will get there.
