Title: A place for post game celebration (hopefully) in Albany
Post by: REDhead on March 15, 2006, 06:07:41 PM
In hopes that we will win on Saturday, and in hopes of avoiding a repeat of the Jillian's situation of last year (when under-21 y.o. team members were not allowed in) I've done a little advance scouting.

Manager Joe Schafer (must be karma...) of the Skyline restaurant & bar is more than happy to welcome the team and Lynah faithful for a post-game celebration. Under-21s will be allowed in, just will have their hands X'd to identify.

The Skyline has 4 floors, with live music, a martini lounge, sports bar on the 2nd floor, and nightclub at the top. Main entrance is 4 Sheridan Ave, opposite the new Hampton Inn, and is a couple blocks down from the Crowne Plaza where the team stays & gathers right after the game. Joe says there will be a line, but cut to the front & tell the door that you are with Cornell Hockey. $5 cover charge.

So for those of us who want to celebrate with the team, this seems like a great option...The best way to find out where we're going, of course, is to gather post-game at the Crowne Plaza lobby and follow the guys to wherever...here's hoping that Saturday is gonna be a party night.

That's about a block further than ideally I would like it, but I suppose we can deal with it ;)

Having it as over/under is *real* nice for the Faithful as a whole.

So are you gonna tell Schafer or am I?  ::nut::

That said, if the team isn't in a partying mood Saturday night (maybe, cause, ya now, winning two games is hard work ;) ), I'd definitely head there.
