No score, early first.
Pull for Niagra and we get two more TUC wins. Bringing our overall TUC record to 0.7500 (if my quick calculations are correct). Meaning, as of that point, our 3-1 record against Clarkson would be irrelevant to our TUC percentage.
Thanks for the heads up!
BTW, it's pretty sad how empty that rink is :`(
0-0 after 1

Not surprising considering it is at the State Coliseum Fairgrounds in Detroit ::uhoh::
Colorful side note: this could be the last CHA title game ever, or for a while, that carries an automatic NCAA bid with it.
Colorful side note: this could be the last CHA title game ever, or for a while, that carries an automatic NCAA bid with it.
Why? Is a school defecting?
I believe Air Force is leaving for AH
I think the CHA will still get the auto bid for a year or two while they look for a replacement team, though.

Well, that wont piss of WCHA fans.

Yeah, Air Force is moving to Atlantic Hockey to be with Army. Doesn't make any geographic sense, I know, but AHA worked out some alternate schedule so most schools only need to go to Colorado every other year.
The CHA thought they had a little Georgia school (Kennesaw State) to take their place, but they backed out before this season.
QuoteCHAT LIVE With USCHO's Matt Mackinder
Barry Becker (Detroit): What's going on in terms of recruiting a sixth team for the CHA to replace Air Force for next season. There were strong rumors that Kennesaw State was going to add Ice Hockey to its program but no news yet. Any guesses as to the long term health of the league including increasing its size to more than the minimum 6 teams. What about the possibility of some of the teams from the CCHA and WCHA that have difficulty competing coming over to the CHA?
Matt Mackinder: Kennesaw State is out. That's all the CHA office will confirm at this point. No CCHA team or WCHA team will have problems coming to the CHA, though travel might be an issue for some of the Minnesota teams and teams in that area. A five-team CHA I can't see happening for more than a year or two, so I would hope something gets squared away by April or May.

I believe someone told me that the NCAA rule is that you can apply for a waiver, but, if you get two autobids while on waiver, then when you get off waiver, you don't get autobids for another two years. But, um, I can't back that up.
Halftime, still no score.
damn, 1-0 Bemidji
1 0 Bemidji :-(
2-0 :-(
and a shortie too... ugh
Shit 2-0.
What is a Bemidji?
an annoying team that should learn to lose when they're supposed to:-P
What is a Bemidji?
Same thing as a Geneseo but in Minnesota.
Wasn't most of the USA curling team from Bemidji?

Yup
3-0...
3-0
My mom is from Bemidji. And I'm not even joking. It's quite the town, let me tell you. They "do things their own way" up there. And they brought the big blue ox to semi-reality.
OK, so how badly does this hurt? We haven't really been able to count on Niagara as a TUC most of the year anyway, right?
Quickly 3-1
3-1
3-2! PPG!
4-2 bsu
Over. BSU wins 4-2.
so totally random question...well, not so much. about a second or two before the buzzer sounded, the bemidji players started jumping off the bench. could you get a 'too many men' for that?
Game, Bemidji gets the auto bid. Congrats to the Beavers < can't help a snicker >
Dartmouth and UND get another TUC win out of the Bemidji victory.
could you get a 'too many men' for that?
Any ref that would blow the whistle with 2 seconds left and a 2 goal lead should be banned from the ice. He shouldn't even be allowed near a frozen margarita.
Holy hell.
We lose 2 TUC wins based on that game and drop to 8... cause Niagra dropped out of being a TUC. I didn't realize that they were.
Edit: I meant 8. Matched up to play UND in North Dakota at the moment :(

I just looked at USCHO and we're tied for 5th with the 3-2-1 bonus or in a three way tie for 6th with the 33-22-11. And with the 3-2-1 bonus or better Niagara is still a TUC. I assume everything is up to date because Bemidji shows up as a TUC.
Reload.
Niagra has an away quality win, which brings them to .4994 with bonus, but still not a TUC.
I guess programming the game result and forcing Bemidji to be a TUC were two different steps and I was on the site for the latter only.
