Hi -- Its kind of a pain to click around the Time Warner website to find the link to the webcast, so save yourself some time and use this link instead:

And how refreshing, the stream is already up and running. It's just a simple graphic and cheesy guitar rock in the background, but that's better than nothing.

i'd just use that...open in a standalone window. opens WMP, open URL, and paste that in
Just when I log in to elynah to ask if anyone was able to find the link for the webcast... :-D Thanks!!!
Thank you!!!! Cornell & Union's logos are up as well as a puck spinning on its end.
Just over an hour til they drop the puck!!
LGR!
If anyone has comments on the camera work...my Dad is the main cameraman. I could probably drop him a quick email/cell phone call in the middle of the game if anyone has suggestions for improvement.
Yes! If we still dont have a goal after the 1st period, ask him to drop his camera, grab a stick and some skates. We need some offense!
GO BIG RED!

Um, am I the only one getting "the host is unreachable" or other various errors?
Did we max out their connections already? ::twitch::
Try this address from JasonL's post. This worked like a charm for me in Internet explorer on PC.

Yes, and I'm not willing to disconnect to find out :-P
Maybe Jason L's link is full and they have opened up another server? Try to click on the original link in the thread.
no, i am still getting a 1080kbit stream with a ECAC logo and a spinning puck.
they really show drop the resolution of this, a lot of DSL networks cant even get that speed
In the meantime, a pre-game show tonight on some-access. Yup, audio is up and a full 20 minutes before the drop of the puck.
Just my computer... my gf sitting next to me can get on it on her laptop. Hmmm, may try a restart.
Okay... are any Mac OS X users able to get through?
Cause I found this:

Is anyone getting anything more than the spinning puck, Union and Cornell logos and the same repetitive music that's making me crazy? ::nut::
LGR!!!!!

They haven't started yet.
Whew! Guess I can stand it for another 2 minutes.
LGR!!!
I can't get through either.....
spinning puck is gone!

You using Mac OS X, Ben?
Video up, and high quality so far.
I can't even watch this @$%&. The video stops every 15 seconds while it has to rebuffer. Using Verizon DSL in NYC.

yep...the feed uses too much BW probably...you need at least a 1.5mbit connection to view this. the quality isnt even that good for the stream size....they could of got the same quality with 300kbit or so.
For once I haven't had a problem with the feed.. yet.
Wider camera angles when the puck is in the O zone please ;-)
Has anyone gotten it to work on OSX??? Or is it hopeless?
I'm getting a lot of rebuffering as well, and it occasionally crashes Media Player.

Read the link I put up above (the microsoft one). Pretty sure its hopeless on OS X. I sent them a comment though.

I passed the message on.
Yeah, I checked that out. Tried opening it in VLC and no luck there...microsoft blows!
Word from the cameraman is that the buffering taking place every 20 seconds is just too many people logged on that their servers can't quite handle the load. Guess this is a popular game????

That was predictable :-)
I've switched to audio, couldn't deal with the buffering.

I tried that, but cant get the audio to lead. So I'll take skippy video over no audio. :-P
just wanted to say the game looked really good on tv. i watched the 1st period on the feed before heading to dinos to watch it/eat dinner w/ a friend. good job...I really liked the instant replays, and the different camera views for the replays (some of the angles kind were not that useful during game play....like the ones in the corners when they're trying to free the puck...so all you see are their faces and them pushing each other :) )
