The ECAC seems to be having a down year for goalies. Who wins the Dryden award this year?
Dekanich
....Don't look at us.
Probably Dekanich, but the last weekend could swing it. McKee had a great game against Harvard despite the 4 GA.
Maybe the Princeton goalie, Leroux?. He probably won't get it, but it sounds like he has gotten Princeton to where they are. Look at his stats compared to the other goaltenders, and then think of the team he plays behind while still getting those numbers.
Princeton to where they are? Sitting in 9th, with no chance of home ice in the playoffs? Now there's something to write home about.
I'd say it's gotta be either Dekanich or McKee, even though they've both had some off nights, they've also stolen some important games down the stretch from what I understand.
I shouldn't have said to where they are. I just meant that they have beaten many of the top teams in the league and Denver as well. It sounds like he is the reason for that. His stats are also right there with the top goaltenders despite his poor team.

Leroux's win against Denver probably shouldn't be taken into account when considering the Dryden Award. I thought it pretty much applied to ECACHL conference games only. I could be wrong, though.
In terms of other goaltenders who are in the running, as far as conference games go, I believe Union's Kris Mayotte is #2 in both GAA and SV%, despite being sixth in winning percentage. Of course, those are the types of numbers that will probably get him kicked out of Union. :-P
Best goalie I've seen this year is Leroux probably. Dekanich was impressive as well.
In my opinion, Mayotte's been the best goalie I've seen this year, other than McKee. I think McKee's been most impressive, but it's easy to say that seeing him over so many games. Dekanich's been good too, though he didn't have a particularly good game at Lynah, in my opinion.
I just realized who it should be. Kris Mayotte gets accolades every week for his performance and I certainly think Union has exceeded expectations this year, sitting in a spot where they're guaranteed a home playoff spot, sitting in 6th. I didn't expect them to get a home spot at all, much less have it wrapped up with 3 games left to play (they had it after Friday), and most of that has been due to Mayotte shutting teams down. He also (I think) leads the league in shutouts.
not that I think he should get it, but he does deserve mention... Legio has been playing well for Clarkson...
Leggio started playing well two weeks ago, yes, but I really don't believe that he has had the same effect on Clarkson's success as Mayotte has had throughout the entire season for Union.
nor do I, but he deserves mention

The ECAC has a history of favoring seniors for the Dryden Award. I'd say Mayotte takes it.
