Go crazy....
Dartmouth to the early PP.
1st PERIOD
COR 14:57 Scott (Bitz, Pegoraro) PPG
COR 19:53 Bitz (Scott, Pegoraro) PPG
2nd PERIOD
DART 1:15 Pritchard (Johnson) SHG
COR 6:12 Moulson (Bitz)
PK killed.
PP for dartmouth again for interference?
Thank you Jordan for starting the game thread. We didn't want Keith to do it ;-) .
Superstitious in West Lafayette
PP coming
Edit: Actually Cornell penalty, PK coming
Haha. Not a problem. Although don't count on me to do regular updates as I'll be sitting back and listening, (or hpoefully watching).
In other sporting news, Cornell opens up a quick 9-0 lead on Princeton over in Newman.
PP coming, 10:55 in.
6:05 left in the first still scoreless. Apparently had some good pressure (and 5 forwards! Cam & Chris both out there?) on the PP.
Another PP I think, but hard to tell with the video in and out.
Scott!!!!!
Scott!
Scott, assits by Bitz and Pegoraro
Offers penalty, 3rd pp...
Key to following the first period audio: Announcer says, "Looks like a penalty coming up on Cornell," it means Cornell is on powerplay. However, Ted (?) seems as good an announcer, and sometimes more opinionated than Jason W.
1:08 left in the first, still on the pp
Someone knocked down Scott and they got into it along the boards, but of course all we get is a freeze frame of Dartmouth players just standing there.
Awesome work by Scott. Keeps the puck in, gets roughed up a little in the corner, but ends up in perfect position to put in the rebound.
Assists to Pegs and Bitz.
Dartmouth trying their best to pull a Clarkson and "intimidate" the Big Red.
oops.. that was 1:08 on pp, just under 3 in the period.
chippiness in the corner with scott and someone from Dartmouth. But Seminoff retaliates and gets 2. just us, or did someone from dartmouth go too?
Apparently they called something on the D guy and then took it back? ::screwy::
Apparently they called something on the D guy and then took it back? ::screwy::
Johnson Offers Swallow
Obviously why ;-)
Sounds like a 4-3 for CU now?
Edit: Dartmouth now gets a 10 minute misconduct. Another gets 2 minutes. Not sure what the ratio is.
Tripping on Lovejoy, GM on their captain, 18:57
It didn't even look like Lovejoy cared about getting a penalty, it was very obvious.
Dartmouth captain called for 10 minute misconduct.
Sawada hits Offers, Offers a little slow getting up and to the bench.
"Offers to his knees"
He's not actually hurt so it's ok to laugh.
Goal....
We score on some sort of PP.
Edit: Bitz!!!
Bitz! 7 seconds left!
Bitz on the PP!
and 5 minutes after I hear it on the audio, the webcast shows me the goal...
2nd period under way, Cornell to the PP.
dartmouth SHG
Dartmouth gets a shorty. Damn.
2-1
2-1, Bitz bad play in his own zone.
wtf?
Did 'Jordan 04' start the thread and just run away?
Our clearing has sucked this period.
That sloppy, careless, lackadaisical play looked exactly like how they played the whole game in Hanover. Wake up!
14:11 left in 2nd
GOAL moulson
Moulson!!! 3-1. Nice to see him get an even strength too.
Edit. Assist by Bitz, his 3rd point of the game. (At least he's given more than he's taken away).
BITZ!! LGR!
Bitz with his second of the game!
Weird bounce puts Cornell up 3-1
and now I'm hearing it's Moulson.
Gleed to the box. Wait,,, now a matching penalty on Dartmouth. Jones to box.
Gotta love stupid penalties... when they're against the opposition. :)
Kyle
Gametracker frozen for anyone else?
The announcer made a good point early in the first, Gaudet's incessant whining would give his team a built in excuse.
The team is going to the Ref after every play instead of focusing on the game.
Is this announcer 15 years old.... because he sounds like it....?
12 mins left in 2nd
What is the score, we are at phl airport...
well, check the subject line
Gametracker frozen for anyone else?
I just turned it on and it shows about a minute into the 2nd period with the score 2-0 Cornell.
3-1 Cornell
faceoff outside Cornell zone. 8:16 left. More d-mouth whining to the ref.
P on Glover, 2 mins for contact to the head roughing. 7:26 left in 2nd.
Glover goes to the box.
7:26 left in the 2nd.
1:10 left in power play. Cleared by Mugford.
4:20 left.
Cornell kills it.
4:03 left in period.
Cornell outshooting Dartmouth, 23-9!
CU back on the PP.
Penalty on Pritchard for interference. Dartmouth radio whining about imbalance of PP time.
Damm, and Cornell gives opportunity back with high-sticking. Dartmouth Radio calls it make up call.
Make-up call is right. 4 x 4 for 1:44
Penalty on Pritchard. Dartmouth radio whining about imbalance of PP time.
High stick to Pegoraro.
:13 on Dartmouth penalty, another :16 on Peg's penalty. Faceoff to McKee's stick side.
16 seconds left. Mckee with a 'big' sounding save.
End of 2 periods, Cornell 3 Dartmouth 1
And that's the period.
3-1 Red after 2.
Other Scores
SLU 2 Brown 0
Colgate 2 Sucks 1
Clarkson 3 Yale 2
Quinnipiac 2 Union 1
Princeton 3 RPI 2
Maine 3 BC 0 ::screwy::
BU 4 UNH 3
Jordan,
Could you update the top post on this thread to include the current score and the goal scoring?
Thanks,
Keith
Somthing like...
First Period
xx:xx COR Scott (3) (Bitz, Pegoraro)
19:53 COR Bitz (7) (Moulson, Scott) PPG
Second Period
xx:xx DAR Pritchard ( ) (xxx) SHG
xx:xx COR Moulson (14) (Botz)
Jordan is not on ELF right now. Please leave a message after the beep.
He did update the thread title.
And we're underway in the 3rd.
Jordan,
xx:xx COR Moulson (14) (Botz)
Is Botz on Brom or Darmoth?
Like I said at the beginning, the thread wasn't here, so I started it at gametime, but during the game I just sit back and watch/listen, hence the lack of updates.
But ask and ye shall receive.
Cornell breakaway, Matty M did good work, stopped by Devine.
15:38 left 3rd. Faceoff D-mouth zone.
McKee has apparently 'stepped up to the plate' Does this mean hes gonna beat someone with his stick?
Sasha in the box, delay of game. The D-mouth announcer is lecturing him on the rules of hockey.
D goes on PP. Sasha for delay of game.
11:38 left, Tuba attack ;)
Cornell kills it, but it sounded close.
Pokulok on a breakaway when he left the box.
Good PK by McKee.
Back to Even Strength.
Pokulok on a breakaway when he left the box.
You sure that wasn't Baby out there?
;-)
7:17 left.
7:17 to go in the 3rd. 3-1 Cornell.
PP Cornell.
Who is officiating this game?
Dartmouth's whiny captain heads to the box. No lips flapping this time...
Cornell to the PP.
And another incorrect Dryden stat
Ah, now we're talking about Ken Dryden and his undefeated season. Ah, the memories.
Under 2:30 left
Cornell PP
Another Penalty on Dartmouth, on Nick Johnson for cross-checking. Looks like they'll be shorthanded for rest of the game.
And Dartmouth radio whining about the unfairness of it all.
Another Dartmouth penalty.
They call time out.
Empty net.
We are chanting overrated. I don't know why. ::help::
But hey, the band is playing that funky tune. :-D
Dartmouth whining about the Faithful.
Get over it.
Wasn't it "We want Sucks!"?
McKee throwing punches!
"The fans are being pretty tough on the Dartmouth players."
Oh, and we want Harvard :-P
Dartmouth announcer questioning our fan's loyalty.
I don't think these guys were around in the early 90's
What did their annnouncers say?
Colgate beats Harvard.
3-1 Final
Game over. Time to prepare for Sucks.
That's the win.
Bring on Sucks!
They said "I don't know what these fans would be like if Cornell wasn't good"
Dartmouth radio is confused on why we are cheering a Colgate victory over Harvard. ;-)
They said "I don't know what these fans would be like if Cornell wasn't good"
During the 6-1 game that never happened the same announcers were shocked and angered by Cornell fans staying in the game when the team was far behind. ::help::
We did out best to be endearing:-P
I wish someone would/could explain to folks that you don't chant "Overrated" at unranked teams that are behind you in the standings. *sigh*
Dartmouth radio is confused on why we are cheering a Colgate victory over Harvard. ;-)
Well, we should have been rooting for Harvard in that game.

Dartmouth radio is confused on why we are cheering a Colgate victory over Harvard. ;-)
Well, we should have been rooting for Harvard in that game.
Only if care about little things like standings. ;-) How can we ever cheer for Harvard?

Dartmouth radio is confused on why we are cheering a Colgate victory over Harvard. ;-)
Well, we should have been rooting for Harvard in that game.
No, we should have been wishing for Colgate to lose. There's a difference! :-P
They said "I don't know what these fans would be like if Cornell wasn't good"
See 11/11/05. :-}
Good point Keith...stupid chant.
As long as they're loud, who cares what they're saying.
