this could really hurt Union
I have just become a lot less worried about that game.
There are actually two freshmen suspended. But the freshman that scored against us (Brendan Milnamow) is still there, so I'm still not as confident as Ari.
Can we kick them out of the ECACHL and replace them with RIT yet?

No, because I don't want our last game against them to be the one from 11/18/05. :-(
If anyone wants details on this situation, PM me.
Is it really anybody's business?
I am curious, what happened?

Ari, I really have to take issue with your continuing to do this. Either something is appropriate for the general populace to know, in which case you can post it here, or it's not, in which case you shouldn't even be PMing it to anybody. It seems to me when you make this kind of post that you are doing little more than thumping your chest about the insider status you believe you have, and IMHO that's obnoxious and unnecessary.

I am pretty sure that with Union in danger of finishing above the magic .400 mark, drastic steps were necessary. Thus, players were asked to leave the team so that Union's image would not be hurt. ;-)
Second.
Nothing unreasonable about sharing private information with individuals that you know and trust. But don't announce to the world that you have stuff like this and indicate that you're willing to give it out freely albeit via a less public means.
ok, sorry. i didnt think it was information that should be discussed on public space but if people wanted to know, they could ask me. there is a difference between discussing something on an open forum that is available to anyone and passing information along that is not available for everyone to see. no clue why you are so offended by it.

I don't think this has anything to do with this particular nugget of insider information. I think it has something to do with the fact that you routinely come across as an arrogant "insider." It's like you think we should all get down on our knees and thank you that you deign to share information with the common folk. I'm glad you know exaclty what's wrong with O'Byrne, or why the Union players were suspended, or what McKee's blood type is but just posting, "yeah I know what the problem is. PM me and I'll tell you" is a chest thumping cry for attention. It's childish. You obviously understand that it's stuff that shouldn't be thrown around publically but can't help yourself in assuring the world you know by promising to tell anyone who asks. Doesn't that just about defeat the purpose of not posting the information here? Especially when someone you tell could turn around and post it here.
I have no clue why you are so confused that people might get tired of your attitude.
Well, I wouldn't have put it quite so angrily, but apparently I wasn't clear enough to begin with, so there you go. :-)
Matt
I know who Deep Throat was. PM me for details!
Ari said "sorry" once already. Let's go back to baiting Rich S. over how come Clarkson beats Cornell and can't get above 28th place in the polls (3 votes). Or getting psyched for this weekend.

There are many ways you could have explained to Ari how you and others perceive some of his posts as coming off arrogant. Instead of responding to him in a respectful manner, you chose to resort to personal attacks--which is, to borrow your word,"childish."
Why can't we all get along? It seems that arguments and various other "urination" contests are becoming more rampant on this forum. Why don't we all just solve the problem by either playing a giant game of 20 questions with Ari in order to find out info, or just randomly speculate about what happened (maybe Ari can tell us if we are getting warmer or colder). That being said, my guess is that Fox went "Ron Mexico" on the bit and Caffaro is a poor man's Peter Warrick :-D .

[q]Why can't we all get along?[/q]One point weekend.
[q]Why can't we all get along?[/q]One point weekend.
No, it goes back alot longer than that. My opinion is still that it's so much easier to do it here in print than in person. That's why most therapists tell you to put your feelings down in print, put them away for a day or so, reread them, and if they still seem OK, mail them to their target. We could do it somewhat similarly by just previewing the post and thinking about it. Heavens, we might even correct our grammar.:-)
I still don't like the grammar of my second prior sentence, but here goes.;-)

I know how to correctly play the last measure of the cowbell cadence. PM if you want to know the details.
why don't you all just leave ari alone... if he is doing something you don't like, dont pay attention to it.
There's no PM necessary -- there's a recording of your cowbell cadence on this website. Or don't you all peruse more than the forums?
EDIT: That sounds antagonistic to read, but it's meant to be good-natured ribbing.
I agree with you Jim. People really should stop and re-read their posts before hitting "Post" if there's anything inflammatory or accusatory. Many a time I've hit "Back" instead of "Post" because I decided I didn't like what I'd written or that it would be taken the wrong way. I do, however, think that people are more likely to write inflammatory stuff when the results on the ice aren't as good.

Seriously, we just need to calm down a little bit. I agree with Dpperk--Take it easy on Ari. He may have come off a little all-knowing, but he was just trying to help and he already apologized. I think we have plenty of things to talk about rather than bashing each other (publicly or privately). For instance, the subject of this post...This forum is "men's hockey," not "people's methods of posting."
(I'd now proceed to add my insight to the Union topic, but I really don't know anything about it.)
