Title: New Scoreboard. . .
Post by: Ben Doyle 03 on October 22, 2002, 04:18:50 PM
It would appear that Lynah is in the process of getting a new scoreboard. They have removed the old one (actually both of them are down)  and are getting the new one up and ready for this weekend.

What is that supposed to mean?::rolleyes::

Are you kidding. . .b/c I'm not. They ARE putting up a new scoreboard in place of the old one. I was in the rink this afernoon, it was there on the floor behind the end boards and they even got themselves a boom-lift so they wouldn't have to stand on eachothers shoulders to hang it on the wall. ::twitch::

I wonder if they'll ditch the even older one and run intramural game scores off the new one too.

Does the new one have a "SOG" display?

It's up on the wall now, and it's right in the middle, so it does not look like the small one is going back up (so yes, it will also be used for intramurals in all likelihood). Also looks like there are 2 small boxes for SOG, though I couldn't read what it said for them.

Is there a readout for the opposing school's name, or is it still "Guest"?  (Personally, I prefer "Guest".)

Hey, cool, that way we can modify it to read "Refs 2, Cornell 0" when we think we got a bad call.   ::nut::

FYI. . .in addition to the standard info on the old scoreboard, there is a displayed for text (two lines, approximately 20 characters per line) as well as SOG:-). They were still in the process of mounting the surrounding pieces that appeared to have rotating advertisements on them (ie: Hot Truck, BoatYard, etc...). All in all, it looks very nice! :-)
