I don't think it was JEFF who said Cornell is between New York and Boston.  :-P

I suppose the writer could have put words in his mouth:

"Cornell is situated on the East coast of America, in between New York and Boston. I was brought up on the West coast of Canada near Vancouver and I moved out to the East. It was hard moving away – I was only 18 at the time."

Since there are quotation marks around the whole statement, it seems that Jeff might have cut some geography classes :-)
