Our offense really needs to pick it up.
To be fair, there've been no power plays yet.
But our penalty kill has been perfect!
LGR! :)
No audio or video yet.
Audio up on Some Access.
Any mention of O'Byrne's status?
By the way, thanks for the posts! I am in London instead of Lynah :`( and I really appreciate your updates.
:-( LGR!!! :-(
As usual, still waiting on that video...
By the way, thanks for the posts! I am in London instead of Lynah :`( and I really appreciate your updates.
London, Ontario? ;-)
audio up... video down...
Nope, in the UK. But I am wearing red! LGR!!
O'Byrne not on the GameTracker lineup. :`(
Video up, sans audio.
O'Byrne not on the GameTracker lineup. :`(
And not likely tomorrow, according to Jason. Bummer.
Video up... for about 5 seconds...
Might be a bad connection somewhere. Not an auspicious start for the videocast.
Annnnnnnd... video crashes.
I want to take this opportunity to thank All-Access once more for their fine product.
can someone post when video is back up? it gets irritating checking every 3 seconds
Annnnnnnd... video crashes.
Another reason to fire it up at 6:30--to work out any bugs BEFORE game-time.
video now up and running... for now. It's choppy...
Cornell lines:
Mugford - Chris Abbott - Sawada
Moulson - Bitz - Carefoot
Cam Abbott - Pegoraro - McCutcheon
Scott - Kennedy - Barlow
Cornell pairs:
Krantz - Seminoff

Does Colgate's audio work?
Seriously, I am getting blue balled here...
CSTV and Cornell Some Access quality sucks endlessly.
Cornell pp upcoming.
PP for Cornell upcoming. 1:20 gone by.
It would be nice to actually watch the power play. Is video working for anyone?
Gametracker says Colgate "hit pipe??"
UURRGGGHHHH! :-( Where did my video go?!
My video "buffers" up to 56% and then goes belly up.
video not working for me
so o'b not playing? that sucks.
no video or accompanying sound here either
video up
The trick to making All Access working sort of in the early going, say the first hour or so, is to have a second PC running the audio while you futz with the main PC trying to deliver the audio feed. Sheesh.
Colgate audio is working beautifully.
video back down...
video keeps rebuffering every 3 seconds
Now 4x4, as Topher gets a double minor.
Matching double minors assessed
did they just say scott got a dbl minor?
Never mind, they were offsetting, Still pp.
Colgate audio is working beautifully.
What's with giving them your email address and downloading an applet?
pp expires witn no good chances.
Colgate audio is working beautifully.
And it's free.
Maybe the Mars rover is sending back a lot of data tonight and CSTV has to share the pipe ... ?
I didn't know an "optimize streaming experience" meant an occasional two seconds of sound with a blank screen. I can't imagine what would be less than optimal.
The video is like watching a film strip. A new picture every 30 seconds... ::rolleyes::
Video sucks
::nut::
at least the audio is up
I can't get beyond 8% buffering.
Well, it sounds exciting, anyway.
Perhaps an alternate thread to discuss the video feed is needed?
Could someone post in a new thread or with new subject line when video is up and stable??
I don't have a second computer available and will be attempting to multi-task while listening. It would be easier to see that it is up in a new thread/subject line rather than digging through the thread. Thanks!
When I went home to feed/walk my dog, I did bring back my #14 red Cam Abbott jersey (to wear over my red Cornell sweatshirt).
Let's Go Red!!
You know we are all having a great time when all of the posts are complaining about the video and none are about the game (in which I have no idea what is going on with the few second audio bites and zero video) I hope the camera guys sees this and passes it along. I would rather have not planned on watching than to have paid to get frustrated and pissed off.
nothing much going on in the game
shot advantage cornell
colgate goalie controlling his rebounds
cornell winning faceoffs
sounds like ob not playing
unclear if the matching minors are over yet
11:06 left in the first, 0-0
The game so far -- Cornell seems to have a slight edge in territorial play, but it's been close. The shots are 5-0 Red, but there have been no serious chances by either team.
Maybe we should be paid this season as beta-testers instead of us paying them for the wonderful experience of being guinea pigs.
Tyler Burton slapper blocked by Sawada. Bet that hurt.
CSTV class act? More like CSTV class action.
A make-good is in order. Like free access next year.
According to friggin' LameTracker...which only seems to update the Cornell game every 10 minutes or so.
cornell's feed is chippy, but the faithful sound very loud nonetheless
Topher generates some excitement but can't get it out in front.
nm.
Sawada throws it across the crease but Chris Abbott can't convert.
any bets how the video feed will be once the basketball coverage starts? ::worry::
McKee makes his first save at 14:45 of the first on a screen.
big save mckee
Close in 'Gate work, cornell ices it, faceoff Cornell end.
Who picked first period of the Colgate game for Matt's next even-strength goal? Your chances are dwindling ...
4:31 left in the period.
McKee another save after a scirmish in front. SOG 6-2.
Shots 6-2 in favor of the Big Red with 4 minutes to play, first period.
'Gate announcers say our mascott is Topher.....?
CU announcers calling it a very tight checking D battle with virtually no O so far.
McKee a save on Winchester's drive; Burton and Smith scrambling, but McCutcheon brings it out.
Cam - Pegs rush, sounded good.
Three goals in less than three minutes for QU against Clarkson.
Colgate pp coming up.
Uh oh. 5x3 coming up.
FUCK
Period over, another 47 secs of 5x3 after the break.
End period, SOG were 6-6.
Audio waaaaay ahead of video, that is, what little video we seem to have... :)
Kyle
Per Gametracker:
Yale 3 Dartmouth 0
SLU 1 Princeton 0
Q 3 Clarkson 0
Sucks 1 Brown 0
All after 1
LGR!
Mass up on BC 2-0 after 1
Yale outshooting Darmoth 16-6 after one. Yikes.
Why have the stopped doing the audio during commercials? I loved the behind the scenes chatter.
Seminoff blocks a hard shot.
Yale outshooting Darmoth 16-6 after one. Yikes.
yeah they have been red hot of late, as evidenced by the tie last weekend :)
LGR!
killed off the 2 man and single advantage
Even strength. Lynah rocking.
crowd is very loud
PP coming:-D
Cornell pp upcoming, all the momentum going Cornell's way.
cu on the pp
Well, thank God tomorrow night is broadcast for real. ::rolleyes::
Read somewhere that Burton double-shifts, playing on two lines. Anyone notice this?
Mass up on BC 2-0 after 1
Gametracker has it 0-0, with shots 20-7 for BC?
Awesome, it cant play for more than a second when we have a power play, but when Colgate has it there are no problems...
Penalty killed; Moulson, Sasha, Bitz and Sawada must have had it in the Colgate zone for the whole 2 minutes.
Pegs/Abbott big pressure.
Mass up on BC 2-0 after 1
That's what the ESPN site said.
I gave up on video... I don't like audio & video cutting out.
14 min left in 2nd
Sawada!!!
Squirts out of the corner to a wide-open Sawada.
score sawada!!
Sawada!!!!!!
About 20 seconds after Sawada scored, I clicked on the video link and saw the score--choppily as it was.
The stupid buffering...I totally missed the scoring. :-(
sawada unassisted.
shift before the goal sasha went down in the corner. He got up and skated a bit, but they are looking at it on the bench. ::twitch::
Pokulok might be hurt. Fell in the corner, still on the bench though.
Sawada unassisted. Pokulok may have tweaked a knee.
hope he is ok
announcers refer to sasha and ob as "towers." go ari
Wow, that was a dive.
announcers refer to sasha and ob as "towers." go ari
ROTFL. :-D
Except, IIRC he referred to them as "pillars."
McKee a big save. Halfway through regulation, 1-0.
Krantz giveaway.
Darmoth coming back, 3-2.
On a positive note, in Florida the Big Red was without Sasha and Jon Gleed, and Glover for most of the 2nd game. With OB being the "experienced one", the young D corp played quite well. No OB tonight, but Gleed is back, and Glover is still in the game. So hopefully the young D can draw on that experience.
Seminoff taking a 2 min break in the sin bin.
Hard to tell with all the breaking-up, but I thought Jason called it a "retaliation" penalty. Wish we'd cut that stuff out.
Looked like Pegs drew that spearing penalty really well.
Salmela steals from Campaner in front to defuse a situation.
Cornell now on a very brief pp.
SWEET!
But it's enough!
Damn video bullshit...missed Evan's goal.
salmela from scott on the pp
Awesome! Too bad it froze up right before and came back right after the goal for me.
Scoring:
2 06:23 Cor Sawada 5 (unassisted)
2 14:xx Cor pp Salmela 1 (Scott 16)
Second period shots so far: DC 23, Yale 3. Ice must be tilted.
A/B to O: "sayyyyyyyyyyyy something"
"This is a bunch of ag students yelling safety school"
as my wife just said, he is a radio announcer and she is a veterinarian...which is the safety school? ;)
The woman on the Crystal Salon ad has a very annoying voice.
We should just all turn the feed off, ignore hockey till tomorrow morning, and watch the replay then.
Moulson stopped by Dakenich after a great rush.
Where'd the game go??!! ::twitch::
We should just all turn the feed off, ignore hockey till tomorrow morning, and watch the replay then.
Do you expect the replay to be viewable?
in other games:
miami losing 3-1 to UAF after 1
bc losing to umass 2-0 in mid 2nd
bu leads uml 4-0 in 2nd
msu leads nd 1-0 in 2nd
ferris state tied to wmu 1-1 after 1
osu leads umich 1-0 after 1
Pegs a great chance, Mugs puts it in after the whistle. Still 2-0.
Yale goalie faced 26 second period shots. Knows how Al Detwiler and Laing Kennedy felt 45-50 years ago.
sasha hasn't played since leaving the ice
maine uhn is on cstv. gonna watch it for a bit during intermission :)
play getting chippy
pok has trouble getting off the ice
ari predicted cu would go up 2-0...
Jason says Sasha very tentative coming across ice. Being helped by Glover and went to trainer's room instead of locker room. Hope just sore for today.
ari predicted cu would go up 2-0...
You read that crap?
Is the replay going to be viewable? Good question. I believe the stream that is saved for playback captures any lost bits that we're missing. That is, CSTV isn't saving to disk a stream that recreates the glitches we're seeing.
Al - it couldn't be worse. Just as it couldn't be much worse on the blueline - O'Byrne out, Pokoluk appearing to be gone with a second-period knee injury.
Miami's tied UAF at 3.
bc game is on nesn
Maybe that's why the SLU(t) game was the only one I haven't had any problems with freeze-ups. I watched it later that night on the archives because I was out during the game. I don't think I saw 5 minutes of actual movement the next night in the Clarkson game. I know I didn't see one goal, which is pretty sad considering there were six.
Sounds like Pokulok isn't coming out for the 3rd.
Pokulok doesn't skate out for the third period.
No Sasha for the 3rd
maine having trouble getting any goals against the depleted uhn team. of course it is only first intermission. fatigue will come into play later in the game...
LGR!
Cornell pp.
Back to even strength. Very safe pp.
F and G look pretty red. B-]

Quinnipiac spanking Clarkson, 5-1.

Did this 'Gate guy just say
"it doesn't surprise me, coming from the Cornell team" after a Colgate player got hurt?
And did the color guy say
"it's the way they are coached"??
Swanee.
Barlow barely has the puck go under his stick in the low slot.

jason and friend nitpicking over whether or not it is a ppg. IT is a Cornell goal, that is all that matters!
Princeton beats SLU 4-3. I'd mock them for losing to Princeton but...well...you know.
under 4 min to go
Harvard-Brown going to ot.
Cornell kills the Gate pp.
2:58
tyler mugford with a big clear and Cornell kills off the Colgate pp.
just over 2 minutes left.
P, D, and Q win.
2:05, why are our fans chanting "overrated"? ::help::
Dont start that cheer til tomorrow night dumbasses.
McKee big save on Winchester, then Gate knocks it home to end the shut out.
although colgate is lower than us in the polls, they are #1 in the conference. hence, overrated
Colgate goal. :-(
Great time to start a cheer asshats.
Shoot. colgate knocks in a goal after McKee made the initial save.
1:49 left, 3-1 Cornell.
although colgate is lower than us in the polls, they are #1 in the conference. hence, overrated
I would think "overrated" would apply in exactly the opposite situation: points are the more objective of the two measures, after all.
Kyle
eng
ENG for Pegs.
Under a minute.
Pegs!!! with the ENG.
My jersey-sake Cam Abbott also on the ice!:-)
Bleep. The ENG moves the margin to 4-1 but 3-0 wouldve better

Tomorrow night: the battle for the ECAC!
Tomorrow night: the battle for the ECAC!
on tv no less!
good win tonight, red
No, they're not overrated. The standings rate them exactly where they should be, given their performance.
Besides, since when does the #2 team need to chant overrated at the #1? That's more appropriate for #10 spanking #1. Wait, that was Princeton over us a few weeks back...
These announcers are buttheads.
Claiming that Cornell fights after every game.
"Coached that way"
"What do you expect, we're playing Cornell"
Sarcastic comments about Cornell us a "Class Operation"
They were trying to be fair until 'gate fell behind, and then the true colors came out.
A couple of jerks!
Great effort by the Red except right around the 18:30 mark of the 3rd period. The D let a couple players walk right in on McKee. David made a big save on an undefended, point blank shot shot, deflecting the puck to his right. Wilson (I think) walked right back in front of him uncontested, McKee made a big save, but couldn't get the rebound. Great win. Would have been a nice SO for McKee, though. Definitely wasn't his fault.
Yeah!!! No freeze ups! :-D
umass beat bc 3-2
miami now losing 4-3 with 8 mins left in the 3rd..
