They don't actually list the media poll, but they describe it and it sounds like we had a better margain there. Both polls have Cornell/Hahvahd/Clarkson 1-2-3 .

Media poll is up now and we are far ahead of Harvard. Not that that means anything.
All this talk of polls and tickets just has me giddy about the new season. :-D Pity that I won't be able to listen to the games on the Cornell feed. :-(
I am curious about where the national pollsters will put Cornell. After our performance against UNH in the NCAAs, I would think that we will not get too screwed by the minimal respect the ECAC is accorded by the rest of the country.
[Q]With the first game set for Oct. 1, USCHO is set to roll out all sorts of goodies, starting Monday with the our Division I Preseason Men's Poll and previews of the MAAC and CHA. Also,...[/Q]
Well, guess we'll find out Monday, though I can't say I'm *too* confident. The ECAC stigma will probably be there. Of course, having something to prove never hurts.

How about Brown was a 4th and a 5th? I guess their role as a 'giant killer' last year must have generated some buzz.
Or does this just signify that the ECAC is even weaker than last season?
Interesting. The Coaches and the Media seem to more or less agree about each team, with one big exception: Dartmouth. Fourth in the Coaches Poll and Ninth in the Media Poll? I guess I'm with the coaches on that one.
Also worth noting: For the first time (at least in my memory), all six of the players on the pre-season all-ECAC team are Ivy Leaguers.
Considering that they have not picked preseason All-ECAC teams before, it isn't surprising that this hasn't happened. ::rolleyes::

Actually, it was the coaches who voted the Big Green ninth, making me wonder what the coaches know that the rest of us don't. Well, OK, they know a lot of things, but anyway...
They know this:

Note that Dartmouth loses more of its firepower than anybody else except for RPI.
Oops, sorry about the fourth/ninth transposition. But I'm still with the coaches: I say DU closer to ninth than fourth.
But that doesn't mean that I don't fear them. They may have lost a ton of point production, but their ENTIRE defensive corps (including goalies) returns, including that weasel Boucher. As long as Irma la Bouche is there (only one more year--doesn't it seem like he's been there forever?), I think they have the potential to do damage in the postseason ... if they get there.
[Q] if they get there.[/Q]
What? Are they planning to move to Hockey East or something? 12 team tourney now...
Sigh.
