FYI
I went to see Conan O'Brien filmed today, wearing my Cornell Hockey Sweatshirt. I was extremely lucky, and Conan actually picked me out of the audience and brought me onstage for one of the gags he does before the audience comes out. The sweatshirt is clearly visible, and he asks me a few questions about Cornell and whether I played hockey there. (The answer was no, but I watched, and that hockey was very important). The actual conversation about hockey is maybe 20 seconds, but there's something else that happens with hockey later during the sketch.
I thought people here would be interested in the shout-out for the program on national TV, albeit somewhat short. ;-)
Nice.
But I am confused. If it was on the skit before the audience comes out then will it be shown on the air?
Someone in an eastern time zone please report after wathcing the show (to save me the trouble of staying up late) :)
Thanks, Roy
It should be on their air. Conan always does something funny before the guests come on.
so when does it air?
12:35am on NBC, at least in EST. Not sure about other time zones.

I shall add, 12:35 PM tonight (Thursday the 12th), though there is some sort of repeat tommorrow as well.
Just caught it. That was pretty funny, David. I would have expected at least *one* "Harvard sucks" out of you, though :-P
After coming home from my own hockey game, and checking the forum, I saw PinkyGen on Conan as promised. Funny bit that comes on right after the opening and lasts for 3 mins.
Congrats, your 15 mins of fame are 1/5 gone.
::laugh::
"So, why did you choose to play hockey at Cornell?"
"Well, I was going to go to (insert WCHA school), but there was this guy on the Conan O'Brien show..."
Yes, it aired - it was a goofy segment, but it was nice to see "Cornell Hockey" on the screen for a few solid minutes.
And the minor confusion about whether the segment would air stemmed from the fact that PinkyGen first said "before the audience came on," when he meant (and later said) guests. No harm, no foul, it actually aired.
Bed now...

I just caught it. Imagine my surprise getting ready for sleep and seeing the red on tv. I actually did a double take. Could've told Conan he was the best thing to come out of Boston though. :-)
Very nice,

Yeah, that confused me too. Right before the guests is the best part of Conan.
if someone knows when the episode will be re-aired, please announce it here
thanks
You didnt say it was the desk!
"You're on the chess team, aren't you?"

Especially since Conan went to Harvard.

Sorry about that, I was typing fast. I had a lot of people to inform all at once, since I only got back from the filming around 8 PM.

Would someone please make it into a file for distribution??
They used to reair the previous night's episode at 7pm on Comedy Central. No idea if that is still going on...::rolleyes::

Conan's are typically re-aired one week later, extra late.
I.e. it'll be on Thursday night/Friday morning next week, at something like 3:30 AM.
I can't guarantee that it'll be the same one as this Thursday night/Friday morning at 12:30 AM, but usually it would be.
I don't think ComCentral does the repeats the next day anymore.
Don't think it is.
There ways to acquire episodes, but I nothing I can say on Elynah.;-)
Thanks for watching. It's a shame I didn't know Conan was at Harvard at the time, but I probably would kept my big mouth shut anyway, he's obviously much better with verbal interplay than I am. :-P
Meanwhile, LGR!!!
You did have a bit of a deer-in-the-headlights look about you for much of the time, but don't worry - you did a great job for your first time on national television and on only a moment's notice. :-)
Beeeej
I just watched the episode. You were great Dave. And (sorry for the spoilers) you got to meet Abe Vigoda! :-D

Would someone please make it into a file for distribution??
Nice bit to;-)rent. Thanks for bringing smiles to our house this evening!!
LGR!

Seriously. If it was some other bit, that'd still be cool, but the desk! The Desk!

The original airdate is right, and my TiVo says last week's (I'm saving it to show a few fellow Cornell hockey fans :) ) had Emily Proctor. So that's a 'yup'!
so the re-airing was just on and my crappy Dish network lost signal starting the second you sat down at the desk and regained signal during the first commercial, thus i missed the whole skit again!
