does anyone have any video highlights from the quinnipiac game they'd be willing to share with us?  thanks a lot.

first off, does anyone know if this is legal? is there a 'fair use' kind of rule for clips. Cause we all know people have gotten in trouble for offering full games.

Second, if so, I can provide the source video, but I don't have a program capable of taking clips. I've learned this before. And all those that can cost $$.

Delta, could you give me the source for the full video? That would be great.

Thanks,
Mike

I can't do that. You can get the full source video on All Access. I would be distinctly breaking copyright laws, and I'd be especially stupid to do so on this pulic forum that powers that be do watch.

If you want to watch the full game, watch on the All Access archives.

If someone wants to make clips and it's legal, I can try to help. That's about it.

thanks for the responses.

to echo deltaone81, lets keep the sharing legal, i certainly dont want anyone to get in trouble (i didnt know people have gotten in trouble for doing that here in hte past).

so, if anyone has legal clips to share, i and probably many others on this forum would really appreciate it.

thanks again.

Does anyone have the NESN feed, if someone could send me that source video I could surely make a highlight clip of the game.  I dont know if it is legal or not but I dont think the government is really lookin to get ppl in trouble to host a college hockey game.

Just FYI, it's not the government, it's the copyright holder. I believe it was after/during the 2003 playoff run when people began offering to make videos, and CSTV jumped in and threatened to sue/cease and desist or something of the sort.

So yes, someone cares. That said, there are 'fair use' rules for small clips that don't violate copyright - i.e. if you use a music clip as the background to a slide show, etc. If anyone who has discussed this issue in their classes or in their professional job, feel free to chime in.

What format is the video source in?

If you have XP, you can probably use Windows Movie Maker 2 (comes with XP) to get some clips.  That'd probably be the easiest way.
