Title: quarter cards
Post by: LynahFaithfulS on December 02, 2005, 11:55:35 PM
I don't know how much they spread beyond section B, but...
to the makers of the quarter cards--they were a great idea. HOWEVER, you lost a lot, if not all credibility with the comment on the bottom. I think I can safely speak for others when I say, calling people fucking assholes does not make them want to listen to you. putting something like www.elynah.com...that would be useful

on another note...while i agree that section o does suck (just on general principle :-) ), i think we should save the cheer for when they have actually done something that proves they suck...

and one last unrelated comment--can ANYONE tell me why the guy in the back of section B (row 10ish?) didn't get kicked out??? i'm all for the lynah faithful, but I wanted that guy to go... ::uhoh::

someone fill me in...

from your post, it sounds like people are giving out "things to say" quartercards.

sounds like what's going on at cameroon indoor stadium @ duke. i always liked the fact that people are spontaneous and we never did that.

but then again, if you have a bunch of people who don't know alot about the team and the history, it would in some respects help

The guys who printed the cards were drunk all night and being stupid "fans".  I wish we had more real ones.  By the way, what happened up in row 10?

your usage of "we" there definitely excludes a few regulars of elynah.

The guy who got tossed was part of the group with the cards, which read (excuse the foul language, I don't want to get kicked out of Elynah):

It's:
SEE YA ASSHOLE
YOU
GOON!

NOT LOSE YOU FUCKING RETARDS

---

While I chuckled at the cards, the last line was unecessary.  If you insult people they are less likely to take your advice.

(if you are asking me)
there was some guy shouting--mostly (entirely?) telling the team* what they were doing wrong, and swearing. i will refrain from direct quotes, but i'll put it this way--i have never heard one person swear so much in such a short period of time.

*by that i mean the red. we ALL were telling Princeton what they were doing wrong throughout the whole game :-P

kind of. the fact it said "goon" was the good idea part.

I agree.  There were a few around rows 5,6,7 in the middle, who kept yelling at them and cursing.  DO NOT YELL AT OUR TEAM.  If you want to yell at them, do it at home where they can't hear you.  Don't do it at the rink where we need to support them no matter what the score.

I am not preaching to the choir here, some of them do in fact frequent this website.  This is meant for you.

...and your usage of "never" definitely excludes the creators and printers of "Section D Tonight" back in the 1980s.
