Title: Restaurants
Post by: SLU65 on November 19, 2005, 04:43:17 PM
Always a pleasure reading posts from the most knowledgeable  college hockey fans.

Having ingratiated  myself my question is:  For many years, along with kindred spirits,  I have visited Lynah to view the SLU game after having partaken of brews at The Chapter House followed by pizza at The Nines.

For a change of pace can anyone recommend someplace to eat that would not overly inconvenience us in that we park at The Chapter House  lot and then walk to  eat in College Town and then over the bridge to Lynah via shanks mare.  Someplace that has a decent tap and  grub?

Your recommendations would be most appreciated

Looking forward to what should be a great game in January.

I'm partial to the Souvlaki House for food.  IIRC the beer there is adequate but nothing special.

Its hard to do better than The Nines.   I like the food at Ruloffs (although I'm not very discriminating!), and they can certainly provide the decent tap.  Its on College Ave. just before you reach Collegetown Bagels and the traffic circle, directly across the street from Sheldon Court.

I am also partial to Rulloff's:  quality food, great variety and good prices.  If you want to watch warm ups, I would sit down at 5 or 5:15; food can take a while to come.  Souvlaki House, which is also quite good, serves fairly quickly.
