Title: LeNeveu Invited to Canada's World Junior Summer Camp
Post by: Josh '99 on June 13, 2002, 01:10:08 PM
Dave LeNeveu was one of only two players with college ties (Denver recruit Brett Skinner the other) invited to Canada's World Jr. camp to be held this August.

Congrats to Dave!

That is great news for Dave LeNeveu and his development as a goaltender.  If he makes the team (four goalies were invited to camp, and I'd guess three will go to Halifax), the Big Red will not have his services for the Everblades College Classic (vs. Maine, and UMass or Ohio St.) and the North Country trip.  Our goaltending depth will be tested, but it will be a big opportunity for Louis Chabot and possibly Todd Marr.

DAMN! I almost got tix for this holiday tourney with my dad but decided on the everblades instead. plus, tix were mad expensive and you had to buy the whole series.

Add a 3.82 GPA to his 1.50 GPG, according to the post-season hockey newsletter.
