A pretty good game to watch, if you like the transition game. Sucks had its power play working big-time, and dominated the first two periods - but to be fair, they totally collapsed the last ten minutes. Still, this was certainly no closer than the score indicated, however much Bob Norton wished that weren't true.
This is definitely good news - whatever the rivalry, it's great for the league, and for Cornell.
Agreed, Sucks carried play in the first 2 periods and had very good puck movement on the power play (beating BC's aggressive kill). The goals were coming fast and furious in the final 10 for BC though. Another couple of minutes and the game might well have ended differently. It was 4-3 with 3 minutes to go and BC pulled there sieve with 2 minutes left. Lots of pressure. Sucks got an ENG to seal it.
The announcers made it known that BC left their A game at home (and this was the first of BC that I have seen). They have even more freshman than we do so it is a crap shoot as to how well they will play in any given game.
Great for the ECAC OC record, and good for us. A win-win, but still kind of odd rooting for Sucks.

P.S. Nice multi-camera coverage from CN8 (free too)
I didn't know they were playing Colgate tonight. ::nut::
don't you mean clarkson???:-P
Groom from Wedding #70 went to Union and, despite being an otherwise pretty intelligent guy, is convinced they were invited to join the Ivy League and declined. As if that story doesn't circulate around about thirty different top and second-tier (but non-Ivy) schools - and as if it mattered in the first place. It's a freakin' sports conference!!

CN8 will also show next Tuesday's Harvard-BU game at 7:30.
Was this game played off-world or something? I couldn't get Gametracker to show me anything, nor could I find it on any of the radio stations that normally carry Harvard or BC games. Finally, long after the game should have ended, I saw the score posted on USCHO.

Comcast CN8 managed to transport its cameras--and Norton--to this other-worldly place. ;-)

In the process, they seem to have sucked up all the bandwidth and blacked out everyone else, 'cause there was nothing I could find to give me play-by-play or even a score until well after 10:00 PM.
I am confused. Were you not aware of the CN8 webcast, or did not work in your geographic region? I am in New England, but I do not have cable TV access. The webcast worked quite well. Drop/freeze free 500 Kb/s stream.

You can always check the Score Updates forum on USCHO. They were keeping tabs on the game.

No, I was aware of it. But what I really wanted to do was to be able to listen to the game in our exercise room, away from the computer. I went to both the FM and AM stations that carry the Harvard games and got music and a talk show. BC's home page said their games are on WEEI, but that was something else as well last night. And when I did check on Gametracker, I could only get OSU-MSU. For BC-Harvard it kept saying it will start when the game begins.
No big deal, just weird.
Isnt that what WiFi and a laptop are for?

And I'll still be stuck in Troy, Al. Would you consider buying one of those Sling gadgets and sending the game to me?

I didn't realize that this is also a webcast. I assume it is on cable and the web, right?
