Still classical music (choral) on WHRB from Harvard. According to the schedule they should switch to hockey pre-game in a couple of minutes (6:50pm). No problems connecting, although it did take a minute or two to load.
Some guy on WHRB just said the game was coming in a few minutes as the last song ended.
Keith, can you post the link? I have no confidence that AA will actually kick in at game time. Thanks.
So, who couldn't make it to Lynah East tonight? Count off -- I'm Greg, in Maryland.
See the "Free Net Audio" link on the left...it's there.
Chris & Erin in Iowa
Robb in CA.
Stuck in Pittsburgh, couldn't get away for the weekend.

Oh yeah - forgot to add that All Access sucks, of course
But feed is up now.

If you had 6:54 in the pool, you won.
there we go, All-Access is alive.
The WHRB announcer boy sounds dumb.
Am I childish for laughing whenever I hear "John Thomas Steakhouse"?
Harvard announcers: "What you're hearing is the Harvard band". He says when all I hear is Davy.
Love Story... nice!
I wonder how many we were able to sneak in this week... :-P

Harvard announcers complaining how the ticket office went away from the ticket plan thing resulting in lots more Cornell fans in the house. (Well, they weren't really complaining much, just commenting with a little bit of disdain).

Harvard scores early on a goal by Dufault. Loose puck in the crease put through the five hole. Assist by Nick Coskren.
Worst possible thing to happen on the road. An early goal.
We'll get it back, LGR!

Listen on Cornell All-Access or Harvards WHRB ... www.whrb.org

As much as I hate saying nice things about Harvard, I have to say how pleasant it is to listen to these guys after being tortured by the whiners from Brown last Saturday.
GO RED!!!!
high sticking on mccutcheon
and yes - much better than the brown audio feed
McCutcheon called for high sticking. Harvard power play.
I didn't realize how much turnover Hahvahd had until I heard all of these names tonight :-O
Yeah, it's a nice professional broadcast. The announcers are actually describing how both teams are playing, and somewhat honestly while doing so. :)
The audio is also great. I can hear our fans spelling Daigenue's Name
"grade inflation" and "hotel management" being chanted by the opposing fans.

Load All-Access radio (not TV) webcast. (All-Access an oxymoron, of course.)
Load Gametracker. Hear stupid Mellon bank commercial +10db vs the broadcast
Gametracker fails.
Load Gametracker again. Here Mellon bank commercial again.
... You'd think with the criminal overuse of cookies, maybe CSTV could place one indicating it has already played the bleeping commercial today. Or have a year-long cookie noting we've paid for All-Access, so we don't need to be blasted by the commercial. (Actually, since CSTV access is "self-renewing," the cookie should be in perpetuity.)
Four or five well placed complaints to Mellon Bank should do the trick.
Another hitting from behind penalty - Mike Taylor - late in the first.

Yeah, CSTV offers a package for access to all college football, but no such thing exists for hockey.

im just using the link from the frontiernet page. its free from some harvard radio station.
cool stuff.
Nice to see the 1st PP unit doing well so early in the season!
Oh I waqs sucked in for the whole pile of Cornell's access. I only got a 1-month screwing from Harvard.:-( :-(
I'll try to hold off a little bit before posting if you're wondering about spoilers.
isnt moulson still averaging over a point per game?
Did O'Byrne just turn the puck over to Harvard in front of McKee (no goal, luckily)?
yes bill that's SOP :-)
Moulson is 5-3-8 in 5 games now, so one goal and 1.6 points per game
End of the 1st.
Lets Go Red! Blow them away!
Am I the only one for whom USCHO's GameTracker is frozen?
Cornell announcer, as first period ends, says the "second period has been a trouble spot for Cornell" with the opponents outscoring Cornell 5-1.
Statistics are dangerous in the wrong hands, and that certainly includes many broadcasters.
If it is 5-1, Wouldn't that be 4 for MSU and a goal apiece total for Cornell and opponents in the rest of the first couple games.
Sucks hockey goons answering questions, damn funny. ::nut::
[Q]Pace Wrote: Am I the only one for whom USCHO's GameTracker is frozen?[/q]Be easier to take a poll of those whose GameTrackers isn't frozen or woefully behind. Mine took down the audiocast as well. Is anyone else listening to the harvard audio?
What class at Harvard works on square roots, isn't that something we did when we were 13? ::screwy::
Three goals in the first period, close game, Cornell just ahead, Harvard drawing more penalties than Cornell. Gawd, I wish I was there.
Well, nice to know I'm not the only one.... Damn CSTV.
Yeah... 4 goals in one game but tied 1-1 in the other three. And the sample size is too small to mean much of anything regardless.
Tonight is going to be a rough and tough night!

Please tell me that was our band playing "Stacey's Mom." ::help::

Harvard announcers still lauding Daigneau for his save on a Cornell short handed 2 on 1. They 've almost ignored the goal that happened shortly thereafter.
CU announcers made a big deal about the sh save, too. It must have been a honey.

token mention of Tyler ::asshole:: Kolarik winning 2002 championship game
I always think of Cavanaugh as having won that game. He must have tied it.

Maybe it's a Doppler Shift issue because of all the red on the scoreboard?

Teams are out for the third.
And the puck is dropped. Harvard starts on the PP for 41 seconds.
Harvard announcers perplexed by why Quinnipiac being blown out by St. Lawrence aftter doing so well against Harvard and Dartmouth.
Harvard announcers also pointing out that it's important not to let Cornell have any "good opportunities" in the third period since there are only 20 minutes to play. For that you need 1450 SATs?
Kennedy back on the ice.
Sawada to the Cornell bench with a possible injury to his wrist.
oh no! i hope Sawada is ok
The Deerticks are playing RPI tonight, not SLU, and are only losing 3-2.
Sawada blocked a shot with his hand.
WHCU: High praise for Hyphen … did not make Phantoms and now playing San Antonio but allowed 7 goals in his one game
he's back on the ice
"Bitz dragged down to the ice...no whistle."
lol the whole reason the students turned out in full force is that the athletic department gave away 300 free tickets. some teams dont have to do this to be sold out... ::snore::
WHCU announcer just said that the last time these two teams went into overtime was 2000-2001 season.
Guess he wasn't in Albany in 2003.
harvard gave away 300 tickets to students tonight. Sad that they need to give away tickets for a big league rival.
the harvard announcers just thanked the athletic department because the gave students 300 seats for free.
well how else would they get harvard fans in there?

Even with that you can still here the faithful quite well over the radio.
Too many men on the ice penalty on Cornell...Kennedy to serve it... WHCU announcer intitially thought penalty was against Harvard.
Kennedy needs to stay out of the box.
My bad..this one's not his fault.
11:40 to go in 2nd, 2-2.

What the hell is wrong with McKee this year?
"Krantz tripped behind the play, but no whistle." (Of course.)
Less experienced, more offense-minded blueline, for a start.
Don't panic. Plenty of time.
6:17 left in the third.
Cornell taking a time-out. According to WHCU announcer, there seemed to be some confusion as to what players Schafer wanted out, and the timeout may have been necessary to get the right players on the ice.
I would be more relaxed if I was actually seeing this offense from the blueline that you speak of.
[Q]Pace Wrote: What the hell is wrong with McKee this year?[/q]Goalie's supposed to stop the shots that get past the defense. Maybe it's the question of the defense, or the whole Cornell system. But if Cornell plays a complicated system, maybe it takes more games to gel. Maybe.

LGR, finish it off! The best part of this is that you can ice the puck all you want.
win win win
Harvard announcers give Moulson the #2 star, pointing out that shadowing Moulson on the PP after he scored the first Cornell goal really opened things up for Cornell. That's a really good thing, as long as the other guys can take advantage.
Scott gets #1 star, probably largely because of the game winner.
Daigneau gets the #3 star after playing what they think was the "game of his life". That bodes well for our offense that we can score four goals, including two late to come from behind, when a netminder is playing extremely well.
