anyone having luck with the audio feed? ::help::
Try this instead: http://brownbears.collegesports.com/multimedia/brow-multimedia.html
I had no luck w/ all-access.
Audio feed is working fine here.
http://brownbears.collegesports.com/multimedia/brow-multimedia.html
Nope. No audio yet for me.
Cornell GOAL...1-0 on the pp
Andm all access continues not to be.
Goal was to Moulson...with assists to Bitz and O'Byrne
already 1-0??
wow
LGR!
how far into the game was it?
3rd PP
Wow, Brown announcers ripping the Ref.
I believe it was something like :47 in.
less than a minute...we drew a quick penalty and scored on our first attempt
WOW...complaining.
Q drew 5k for their opener. Pretty good.
The Brown announcer is ranting like a 3-year old and we're just 5 minutes in. This could be fun...
"Alex Dell is a disaster who shouldn't be officiating ECAC games, the man is a travesty on the ice. This is awful, this is absolutely awful"
That's the first thing I hear on the Brown broadcast ::rolleyes::
is anyone also amused by the announcer on brown's feed?
(although, i'm not doubting what he's saying)
damn... SHG for Brown--they tie it up at 1
and theres a fish on the ice?
Squid
"Halibut," apparently
1st goal of the year. A Red Wings thing. Go figure.
i only hear commercials...very, very long commercials. they're like the last LOTR movie...every time you think they'll end, there's more.
and now nothing. this is so weird.
It also meant somebody carried that fish around Meehan all night on Friday...
Why did the Brown fans throw fish on the ice? Just for the Halibut! Sorry, I couldn't help it.
yea - the commercials will be done eventually???

word is that eventually it switches over to the broadcast
To be fair, the Brown announcers are ripping Dell for a call against Cornell as well.
Equal opportunity whining by the Brown announcers now.

Yes. You hafta listen to about 2 minutes of them pimping shoes or something. Hang on, it will cut over.
and they are ripping on the brown bandB-]
yes - it should have switched back.
they are dissing our band. oy
Now they're ripping the Brown Band. Love it.
And apparently the Brown announcers don't know that matching minors on a pp doesn't change the on-ice strength... ::uhoh::
And now they rip their own band. Jesus.
HAHAHAH!!!!
"The Cornell Band made it from Ithaca, but the Brown Band forgot how to cross a street. They really stink."
You guys are about a minute ahead of me... hmpf.
Yeah...commercials over, but still no audio. Then I tried restarting the player...and no audio. Then I tried stopping the silence then pressing play...it buffered, but no audio. Anyone have any other ideas?
dont restart the audio - theres like a minute of silence before it kicks in
I got no minute of silence, it cut right over for me, but okay.
Brown skating well and hitting. We need to step it up.
Interesting...Jason said we're "off to a great start"
not sure who to believe ::screwy::
<8 left. faceoff at our end, Pegs tripped. Penalty on bears
I'm having troubles getting the audio. I get a "this program is not available" message.
penalities are just like bees to honey when people play us eh.
trevor obyrne, ryan obyrne. haha
1:25 left on our PP
Aha, Dell was the ref last night at Brown. That explains why the announcers broke out their whine and cheese early tonight.

10 min of silence on Brown's feed, so I'm giving up and going to a friend's to listen to the game. Complaint sent to All-Access, since that feed's not working either. Grr...
LGR!
USCHO seems to be down today, so I thought I'd update now and then here about the Colgate game. Like your game against Brown, it is also chock full of penalties. Through the first period with McDonald refereeing, there has been maybe 4 minutes of 5x5 action.
Colgate leads 3-0 at the end of the first.
You guys are having a good weekend. I'm impressed.
end of 1 period, 1-1
End of 1 tied at 1.
According to the Brown 'cast, the Bears barely hung on in the final minute. 1-1 after 1.

This is ridiculous. If I weren't so lazy, I'd find the post I made from last year saying the same exact thing, but I am, so I'll repeat:
When the service is free, I'm willing to put up with lots of bullshit and problems.
When I'm paying, I expect it to work, or I expect a refund.

anyone w/ the time of our goal and the scorer of the Brown goal?

Anyone send an email to CSTV yet?

Well, something is streaming through CSTV, but it is the Brown feed ::yark::
got it from the brown idiots ... thanks though:-)
How do they let these clowns on the air??
icing is icing boys. these guys are morons! ::nut::
Yeah, I didn't know icing involved equitable principles. These guys are a joke.
Penalty coming up to Davenport...
Now the CSTV feed features the squirrel on a keyboard.

hearing the band play the goon song over brown's radio broadcast = :-D
4-0 Colgate now @Yale. 15 left to play in the 2nd.
Colgate's Ben Camper just got called for the Checking From Behind major, along with the auto game misconduct. Crud.
Another Brown Penalty. Gotta capitalize.
Working hard, but Brown with a strong kill.
Moulson either scores or hit the pipe.
No goal.
pipe. so close
10:53 to go in the second period, still 1-1.
Did CSTV ever actually come up?
LOL, Age is not in the Brown band.... ;-)
More bitching about Dell.

Rich said he had it, but I stil haven't had luck.
These announcers are really impartial ::nut::
They freak out on every call on Brown, and say "Yeah, it's the right call, but how could they call that" Safety Commentators
BTW, the Brown goal in period one was Robertson, not Roberts. I'm not sure whether it was David or Jarrett.
8:58, 4x4 followed by a short Cornell pp.
alex dall has apparently trademarked "interference ::screwy::
Can these guys Ever STOP WHINING?? ::demented::
Geez...
Kyle
I've got CSTV's feed now...but it's been cutting in and out (weird chunks of other announcers once in a while, squirrels on a keyboard, nothing hum...all in a random fashion...makes for rather frustrating listening).
Complaint sent to CSTV...for all the good that will do.
Fun to vent though.
CK
McKee nice save on Roux.
The Brown feed is choppy, too. Maybe there's a problem with the pipe coming out of Meehan.
[Q]Trotsky Wrote:

Or the yarn between the tin cans is frayed.
These guys whine incessantly, but they actually have been highly complimentary of Cornell. It isn't like the jealous vitriol that spews out of the yaps of SLU's announcers.
Think the announcers had a bit to drink before the game?
they did just invoke the "bottle incident"
"Alex Dell is brain cancer waiting to happen for a coach."
Now one of the announcers is giving birth, RIGHT ON THE AIR. It's a special moment (sniff).
It is apparently a C-section without anesthesia.
these guys are unbelievable
and now they're bashin cornell fans ... not cool, granted the bottle throwing wasn't cool either
Maybe so, but I still wish they would shut the *** up with the penalty whining.
I think some students got hold of the microphone somehow ::nut::
This is actually kind of fun to listen to
The Brown announcers are RIDICULOUS!!! they should not be allowed to call games.
D'Alba with a ton of big saves.
The announcers are accusing Topher being taller...
Moulson stripped in front. Seminoff a nice chance. Cornell with great chances in the final seconds, but it's still 1-1 after 2.

Perhaps it wasn't, I'll edit.
2-2
Goal Jeff Prough (Brown). CU 2 - Brown 2
I'm not sure, but it sounds like Brown just won the Stanley Cup or something.
Prough scores for Brown. This is really ugly.
Here's all the partial scoring I have:
1 00:43 Cor pp Moulson 4 (Bitz 3, O'Byrne 1)
1 06:43 Brn sh J. Robertson (unassisted)
3 04:xx Cor Scott 1 (
3 12:36 Brn Prough (Ihnacak)
"That's holding, sir. That's also obstruction interference and ....take your pick..."
these guys are unbelievable

"Seminoff with the body slam. No call."
you would think Goldberg and Triple X were playing for the Big Red
he did say it looked like the "goldberg spear"
4:20 to go in regulation.
Q going for the 4-point weekend, leading at Dartmouth, 6-4.
lol. sounds like seminoff from what ive heard though.
We need a goal. I don't have a good feeling here.

Lots of action around McKee, to make an understatement.
NcKee robs Ihanacak twice!
I haven't heard Moulson's name since he got levelled early in the third. He okay?
cmon mckee
< :30.
Brown penalty in the final 10 seconds of the third.
Brown penalty in the final 10 seconds of the third.
my favoriet call of the night so far: Crosby PUSHED DOWN MOULSON, how is that a penalty?

CORNELL WINS
CORNELL WINS
Wow. What a lucky weekend!
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLll
take that, Brown announcers :-D
GAME! 3-2 Big Red!!!!!
Can you imagine how they'd whine if we'd scored on the PP? ::screwy::
Oh, I love the despair in the announcers' voices.
I can't believe they were indignant that Dell was checking to see whether Moulson was injured or not!
so many penalities
(and way to go on moulson acting like he got cross checked, eh)
Brown announcer says Carefoot scored the goal, so maybe it was Abbott.
Carefoot (Cam Abbott, ???) I believe
Wow, I gathered from the audio that the officials were Mike Schafer, Pokulok, and Stevie Wonder.
well at least for once some announcers said what they really felt. Nothing worse than a broadcaster trying to be *neutr* and watering down their opinions. I don't think I have ever heard more vividly negative dexcriptions of refereeing, though I am sure many a broadcaster would like to do the same.
It's not like it's a national broadcast...

Yes, and Theodore Zinck was the one of the off ice officials.
1,100 attendance for Colgate. Wonder what it was like in Meehan for the Cornell game? Or do Brown fans prefer listen on the radio? (Just the drama majors?)
Kate and I enjoyed the Brown announcers tonight. They were funny.
When they called Topher "diminutive" I wanted to throw a bottle at them. ::nut::
[Q]billhoward Wrote:

Apparently the Brown Band does :-P
set the eLynah registered visitors record tonight...
Kate and I are both registered users logged in from the same machine, that shouldn't count.
To be fair, they were announcing for the benefit of Brown fans. And I know from last year that Dell can really be a horrible ref, so he very well may have been quite incosistent.
On the other hand, they did go to far. I was a little upset when they started moaning about the great ECAC conspiracy to have Cornell not lose so that the ECAC would be represented high in the polls. ::screwy::
As for the game itself, I'm a little nervous on how we aren't killing these teams. Colgate seems to have killed both Yale and Brown, and we had two very hard fought games. For people who were there, are we playing down compared to last week? Are Brown and Yale getting better? Is Colgate just doing well because they've already played a few weeks.
I don't want to whine about a four point weekend, but it will get harder. It was nice to see our guys not give up and stick it to them when it counts.

It might be that Cornell has a huge target on their back and they should get used to seeing the absolute best effort of every team every night. Colgate might be benefiting from a letdown on the non-Cornell night.
These results are not that surprising to me. Last year, we struggled on our first two road trips (MSU then Dartmouth/Vermont). We actually came out 0-2-2 last year from those road games. Since I could not personally see them play, I dont know if we are just not playing well or if these teams are better. But I think the results have to do something with the first road games of the season.
grr, double post
listened to the end of the game...close one for sure. let the team learn from these close games/ the loss now to be solid as the season progresses
A few things.
1. We have no idea what the power balance of the league will be this year. For all we know, Cornell just swept two bye teams on the road.
2. Yes, of cours,e EVERY
Is that a season recap or a play by play?:-P

There were actually Brown band members in the building toward the end of the game. They came and chatted with us. Nice kids. They say they might come to Ithaca when those games roll around.
The reason they didn't play tonight was that the football team was on the road this weekend, and they don't have the numbers to split the band like we do.
YAY RED!!! :-)
