Lets' get it going here! LEt's go RED!!!! All I have is GameCast. Keep us updated!
Penalty on us already! Geez
Yee haw! Let's go RED!!!!!
MSU has a power play very quickly - gleed, apparently. Cornell seems to be doing well on the pk.
26 seconds into the game?!
Good takeaway and clear by Glover on the PK.
More cameras this year.
LGR!! (Hi Beaber!)
LGR!
Yo Felix.
Well 1 for 1 on penalty kill...
im getting dizzy watching these camera guys work..
Couple shots there.
Looking good, in that theyre not being outrun.
LGR!
wish i was at lynah!
first save of the year!.
GO RED!!!!
Is there a live chat goin' on anywhere???
save by mckee...announcers saying msu has had some good scoring chances.
msu have more of the chances, but we're still able to get it down the ice. a little more possession would help.
12 and a half minutes left, puck near mckee more than i'd like, but currently in the other end along the boards. we're controlling it there pretty well right now.
kennedy and mugford with a semi-2-on-1. McKee stops a couple.
almost had a kennedy to mugford (other way around?) scoring chance there.
Potter == goon.
I'm living off your every word guys. Thanks and keep the comments coming!
LGR!
Cornell PP with 9:50 left in the first
Note to MSU: the guys on your bench ARENT allowed to hit people.
PP coming up, but seminoff's gotta lay off the revenge shot.
potter = goon because he had a little tussle with sawada after sawada hit someone hard.
now, cornell power play. seminoff hit someone, then got hit by someone on the msu bench. announcers say it's getting chippy in a hurry. abdelkatur and mckenzie off for msu, seminoff off for cornell.
Moulson!
8:24 left in the period.
Bitz, Scott assisting...
MOULSON!
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!
MOULSON!!!
nice video freezes as the goal gets scored
assists by bitz and topher
Moulson, from Bitz and Topher....
LET'S GO RED!!!!!
Not even posted on Gametracker yet :-(
Save my Mckee.
They really came on strong after the goal.
Can you make out the noise level from the Faithful? Geez I wish I was there!
WTG and LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shit, penalty on us I think
Edit: Interference on Seminoff.
penalty on cornell (seminoff again). interference.
Interference by Seminoff
Ugh...quick goal by drew miller
drew miller scores on a rebound. booo. LGR!

Sound like they're the same as usual. Heard "Bullshit" on the penalty.
Shit, MSU goal.
Let's get it back, Red!
cornell shooting a lot, vicari saving a lot. puck cleared out of the zone. faithful being noisy.
Had several shots there, dont know how vicari stopped them.
4:22 left
HUGE glove save by mckee....saved o'byrne's ass
lots of back and forth going on right now. and a gorgeous save by mckee ("super awesome").
Awesome glove save by McKee after a bad turnover.
Cam Abbot and Ethan Graham both going off...
Hey, O'Byrne screws up, some things never change.
Matching minors on Abbott and Graham.
matching minors...abbott (don't know which one) and ethan graham
Extended "bend over"
4x4
Time left in the period?
LGR!!!
2:00
Icing on MSU, under 2 in the 1st, still 4x4.
compliments for mccutcheon from the announcers.
minute and a half left in the period.
Thaaaaank yoooou! :-)
One-timer for Glover stopped.
Pegararo blatantly tripped there, but no call. Chippy in the last minute.
first period over, 1-1, 9 shots a piece. cornell looked good at the end of the period, keeping the puck pretty solidly in the offensive zone.
Pegs has taken more than half the face-offs.
I'm getting a lot of video freeze-ups. Anyone else?
sounds like not a bad period for the first of the season. was that penalty that lead to the goal bs?
lets hope for one more goal scored by cornell over the rest of the game :) :)
LGR!
No freeze-ups here, but Im on a campus.
The penalty was legit, Seminoff took the guy down, he may be trouble this year.
Overall, nothing to complain about. For our first period of the year against good competition, we seemed to match anything they gave it. The first third they had the advantage, the next third we did after our goal, and the last was split, and a little physical.
Moulson interview during intermission.
the term "national championship" is coming up a lot. bitz is the best moulson's ever seen him looking, sawada's a "wrecking ball"...he seems to think the combination will be a productive one.
I love hearing the pep band :)
I'm getting a lot of freeze-ups also--missed Moulson's goal because of one of them. :-/
Maybe it's a comcast thing.

And Time Warner too, I guess.
Well, it must be a comcast New England thing, then. No video problems (other than obvious blurring while fullscreen) down here in the midatlantic.
[q]The penalty was legit, Seminoff took the guy down, he may be trouble this year. [/q]Don't be too harsh on a freshman playing in his first NCAA game. Lot's of time to develop there.
and not a time warner thing either. other than not being able to watch fullscreen using a mac, i have no complaints (as of yet, anyway).
and they're back on the ice. LGR!
"Deep in the heart of Texas"
Did the band play "The Victors?"
game on. lots of back and forth action right now, no one's dominating
They played The Victors during the first stoppage in play of the First Period
Bitz 2-on-1 saved, net magically comes off.
Moulson and Bitz on the 2-on-1...Bitz got stopped by Vicari...
PP (Potter tripping)
i didn't hear "victors" this period, but they've already got two songs to play. a third may be too much to ask.
moulson and bitz on one, moulson to bitz, vicari saves, net comes off. faceoff leads to a chance, penalty on msu (potter's a goon again) for messing with topher
Scott tripped, PP coming up, seeya asshole.
potter is a ::asshole:: and a serious goon ...
1 minute left on cornel pp
PP over...15:55 left in the 2nd
even strength. 15:55 left in second period.
Not very agressive, and they broke anything up.
PK (Glover holding)
penalty behind the play...glover off with holding
Glover going off, holding.
cmon PK
sh opportunity....nope. but good try cam.
Carefoot with 2 SH shots...
and another carefoot sh opportunity, vicari saved. hey vicari, you're a sieve. act like it now. lots of action in msu's side of the ice for a pp
Damn you Vicari!!
Great PK, couple of SHG chances.
skate skate skate, stop! bend over!
seminoff for hooking. msu pp again
Keep the heat on. Red!
Again?
[Q]kaelistus Wrote:
Damn you Vicari!![/q]
Yeah, since I can't be there, I want to at least enjoy the game Vicari-oops-ly.:-)
sh opportunity, again, but no dice. then a scoring opportunity for msu with no one around the net, but nope.
msu penalty, so 4x4 for some shorter amount of time
big save by mckee, apparently, on some solid msu pressure. not that i could see it, because the camera angle didn't include him. (and another save by mckee).
i can hear black hole.
this feed is significantly better without the play by play now
i can hear the band and fans clearly
Boy I hate this boring clogging clutch and grab style of hockey that Cornell plays.:)
did anyone else lose the WHCU feed w/ their webcast?
45 seconds left on the cornell pp. we're not setting up much of anything...oh wait, now we are,and YES! Obyrne!!
O'Byrne! one-timer from moulson!
THERE WE GO!!!!!!
LET'S GO RED!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
o'byrne from moulson, 2-1
(Scott gets the second assist)
Far out!!!!!!!!!
Liz, you should be a color commentator. Love it and thanks!
LGR!
kaaren, thanks! i've sat at my computer hitting refresh again and again...i know what i'd want to hear :)
Power play or even strength?
It was a PP goal. Another PP coming up (Potter again).
penalty on msu...i missed why. apparently seminoff was in the area and was glad it wasn't a fourth penalty on him.
it was high-sticking.
faithful are being really noisy :)
10 min misconduct on msu.
yeah baby yeah
managed to block our own shot there, but that's okay. we've got a minute left on the power play, nicely cycling. puck into stands, faceoff, icing.
we're having some trouble getting through the screening in front of vicari, but there seem to be a good number of shots.
pp over. 6:10 left in the 2nd
the first half of that pp was much better than the second. oh well. lgr!
PK (Glover hooking)
nothing terribly exciting right now, other than the simple fact that there's cornell hockey. vicari just made a lovely icing save :-P
we almost got something there, mostly thanks to topher. and then a faceoff, which is leading again to some back and forth. whistle as the net's knocked off, but no idea what happened. msu player looks like he's hurting a bit, and we've got a "bullshit" call as glover goes off the ice for hooking.
Let's get outa the period.
the crowd seems to be getting excited about things, and i often have no idea why. camera, show me more of the ice!
hehe, "learn to skate" - maybe someone fell down?
pegs blocks a msu shot. under a min left in the period. pp over. save by o'b, after it got past mckee
sticky situation there...no good. we iced to get it out of our end, faceoff and the period's over.
I don't have gamecast. How is the team performing? How do they look?
Come on Mike Rosenberg '04, don't be a freeloader, help us stuck in class know what's going on ... give me a play by play
Gleed interview.
Practice includes a lot of work on clean defense, in accordance with new NHL rules.
Freshman defensemen seem to be "getting it," but no details about anyone or anything specific.
Team is looking at this series as a bit of revenge.
I hear the Alma Matar in the background...who else wants to stand and sway?
7 shots by MSU, 8 shots by Cornell
Out of town scores:
Clarkson 4, Wayne State 2 (end of 2nd)
RIT 3, SLU 2 (end of 2nd)
RPI 5, Northeastern 4 (end of 2nd)
U 3, Bentley 0
Brown 4, Concordia 2
team on the ice again. gary glitter playing :)
shot of section B, but it's to dark to see much except waving arms. nonetheless, we're getting a fine chance to sing our hearts out with accompaniment.
ahh, repair of the ice. that's why it's not a cappella.
game on. or not - quick whistle 5 sec later
Lets go red!!
What is going on?
feola is f'ing sheep
Wow, they literally read the rule book...
explain....
Comley arguing for a 5 minute penalty against Cam Abbott for hitting from behind.
chris abbott going off, unhappily/ "dumbfounded" for something. msu coach is arguing, speculation is that it's to increase it to a 5 min call. schafer arguing his case now.
"let's play hockey" from the faithful
it looks like the refs are looking at the rules now, or at least some bunch of papers.
remote control goalie.
feola explaining the 2 min call to msu coach (comely). 2 min for still undefined call.
McCutcheon with some good forechecking...forces an icing...faceoff comes back into the MSU zone on the PP.
cornell doing well killing time in the center/msu side of the ice. msu iced while ON the pp for the second time tonight. about a min left on the pk
What is the score?????? I am on the West Coast and can't get game tracker to work.
Penalty coming up to MSU...Potter again..
the band is playing "the victors"
another penalty on potter, for reasons unknown
[Q]Liz '05 Wrote:

For anyone who's interested, Northeastern was up 4-0 after one period. RPI's fifth goal came with less than a second left on the clock in the second period.
Seeya Asshole...You Goon!
big hit by pegs. interestingly, msu still has a full team on the ice. i don't know what that potter thing was. pp over.
damn, ryan miller just scored on mckee. (rebound)
just got back, time?
nvrmnd, 2:48 in 3rd
lgr - battle against the boards, and a long one. sasha got it out eventually, into msu end, and against the boards again.
icing on msu. a lot of action in front of the net, close chances for us, but no luck. mccutcheon is playing pretty well right now, down to the cornell end, save by mckee.
Restarting cured my freeze-ups.
good effort and handling by mugford there
time?
chris abbott scores!
3-2
ABBOTT!!!
Christ Abbot (from Carefoot...Barlow with the second assist)!
kick save by vicari - boo. we seem to be battling a lot along the boards...
ABBOTT!!! chris, you're my hero. LGR!!
assists from carefoot and barlow
OK, defend the lead, but go for the kill if you can.
msu playing hard, trying to get their tie back. dave makes a nice save.
i think we've got the game going the way we like it now - our style seems to be dictating how the game will be played.
Time, Liz?
Anybody know the SOGs?
11:50 left
anyone know the time left? The Red seem like they are on top of their game despite being the first game of the season.
TUBAS! I miss Lynah.
Another nice save by McKee, despite the fact that the puck came through the legs of Glover. 11:50 left in the 3rd.
[Q]kaaren Wrote:
Time, Liz?[/q]
Yes, please. Lame Tracker is showing me 12:27 left in Period 1. Ugh!
Barlow coming off, PK.
(Thrown from game?)
Shit. Game misconduct.,
Thank yoooou!
Barlow off with a game misconduct. eeek. 5 min to kill off now, schafer talking to feola again.
the announcers aren't giving the time very often, and they don't really show the scoreboard. i'll try to let you know whenever they say the time.
kennedy serving the penalty. LGR!
MAcho macho man
lowell up 5-1 over BU 2:03 into the 3rd
For those wondering what happened at 9:18, the world blew up.
i figured so :)
good win 2nite red. lets get another tomorrow!

He does skate on frozen water...
Outstanding performance for a first game of the season by Cornell. Really really impressed by what I saw tonight. Barlow call was a makeup call on the Chris Abbott play. Brutal call. Defensemen struggled to clear the front of the net but that's pretty standard in the first couple weeks of the season. Crowd was spectacular tonight, including the much-criticized Section B. Among the loudest games I have ever seen at Lynah.
3 Stars:
3. Pokuluk
2. Carefoot
1. Chris Abbott
[Q]French Rage Wrote:

Indeed it did, and I think it may have been my fault. Here's what I kept on typing as I tried to get elf to refresh.
good goalie, bad goalie going on as mckee makes a series of nice saves. cornell catches a break as the whistle is blown without the puck covered. about two min down, three to go with the penalty, and elynah isn't letting me post. cam just completely knocked someone down and it looks like 5x5 hockey. high sticking on msu - goons. cowbell!
lots of good shots by msu, but mckee is better. pk almost killed. msu pushes into dave, while he's covering the puck, mckee retaliates a bit, then skates away. sasha and some msu frosh with an unwritable name are off for the skirmish. penalty killed - go red! 6:18 left for the red.
more against the boards, in our end. crowd getting on potter - apparently they've picked up on his goon status. that boy should watch out for some vicious chants tomorrow.
mckee making more saves...let's get it out of our end, boys. lerg of msu playing well, but not well enough. o'b cleared into the crowd, got the whistle and no delay of game. pep band pictured, icing on cornell. 2:40 left, and townies are up.
msu working on throwing anything they can at the net. cornell continually frustrating them, and lynah is getting louder and louder. 2 min left. timeout msu, 1:37 left. gary glitter going again. pegs and cam abbott almost got a eng, because vicari's been pulled. icing on cornell as cam attempts a shot from the opposite end of the ice. extra skater for msu seems ineffective, as cornell uses it's pk skills to mess with them. mccutcheon almost scores an eng (it would've been his first goal, ever, at cornell), misses by about a foot, so moulson chases it down and puts it in. MOULSON! with an assist from mccutcheon. keys from the faithful (not that it makes sense), and cornell's WON!!
final score: 4-2
shots in our favor, 18-16, according to the picture of the scoreboard, though i think that may have been left over from the second period.
cornell stars of the game from wchu: 1st: dave mckee, 2nd: matt moulson, 3rd: chris abbott, with msu's drew miller as an honorable mention
cornell did a hell of a job for their first game of the season :)
I think McKee had one of the best saves i've ever seen last night. Full out split when the puck found its way to the stick of Lerg (i think...) who tried flipping it over McKee's leg but was robbed by an amazing glove save. The look of amazement on Lerg's face right afterwards was priceless (sometimes there's an advantage to sitting in G ::nut:: )
HAha!!! I saw that. I thought the puck was going in for sure. I don't know if it should be called a "good save" because there was tremendous luck involved there.
