heisenberg's site lists a new goalie, some guy named Chabot from OCN blizzard...guess we have the 3rd goalie that i think most of us all anticipated given schafer's (and probably any rational coach's) desire to have 3 goalies always
any word on if this guy's a good backup?
I haven't been to Manitoba to scout Louis Chabot, but I culled a little information about him on the web. Louis is the second goaltender on a great hockey team (I hope that we'll say that about him at Cornell, too.). Louis was on the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's all-rookie second team. He posted a 25-2 record (top winning percentage in the MJHL), 2.43 GAG (third in league), .909 save percentage (fifth in league). He is 6'0", 180 lbs., and comes from Charlesbourg, Quebec. He was born on 12/13/83. If my memory serves me correctly, Louis is the first recruit from Quebec since Jean-Marc Pelletier.
The OCN (Opaskwayak Cree Nation) Blizzard's starting goalie, Marc-Andre Leclerc won the award for being the top goaltender in all Canadian Junior A leagues and is playing in the Royal Bank Cup (a tournament for champions of various junior A leagues). He is nearly three years older than Louis Chabot.
