Lacrosse, All-Ivy, 1st team:
1961: Dave Ferguson (D), Cornell
HUH?!?! This can't possibly be the Dave Ferguson who was co-capt. of the Cornell hockey team in '67! (...unless he was either REALLY YOUNG when he played lacrosse, or REALLY OLD when he played hockey...) :-P
(Here's your chance, Beeeej!)
No, can't be. Dave, and twin Doug, as well as Bob and the rest of the gang were recruited by Ned for hockey. They came as frosh with Ned, and me:-P , in '63. Now obviously '61 was before my time. Maybe Al could help us.:-)
Spring 1961 was even before my time. I'm not that old, Hyla.;-)
No recollection of Ferguson. Jung Leong and Tom Beeby are as far back as I go.
My chance? Chance for what? To play lacrosse in 1961? It didn't take me that long to graduate. :-))
Beeeej
Wow... that was a delayed reaction, indeed!
It took some noggin joggin' to remember what I had been talking about...
But, I now believe that I meant, "Here's your chance, Beeeej, to mock me for asking a 'stupid question'."
(You had asked a self-described "stupid question" earlier (something about why there had been a 2nd OT in the CU-Brown lax game), and I had responded (with what probably seemed like sarcasm) that a tie at the end of the 1st OT was what necessitated the 2nd OT. After others (JTW, I believe?) pointed out that your question wasn't really all that stupid (as you had labeled it, and as I had interpreted it), I felt it was the gentlemanly thing to do to invite you to "return the favor" (and give a sarcastic (or sarcastic-sounding) answer) when I asked my "stupid question" about the lax-star/hockey-star Dave Ferguson mystery.)
There. Over-uhsplained enough?? :-))
Oh, yeah. Plenty. ::laugh::
I thought you were suggesting I should look him up on Cornell's alumni database, since I used to work for Alumni Affairs & Development, but you probably didn't even know that about me. Couldn't imagine what else you meant, truly.
Hey, I'm back. Anything new around here? Who's joining me in Lake Placid in March? (ug.)
