Title: Oct 14, 15
Post by: DeltaOne81 on October 14, 2005, 10:34:41 PM
Friday, Oct 14
Finals:
Union 5, SHU 2
SLU 2, UMass 1
QU 6, RIT 2 (hey, any win helps ;) )
Colgate 2, Lake Superior 2
Clarkson 5, Prov 2

RPI plays Anchorage later

So the ECAC is 4-0-1 tonight with one to go.

Oh, and my favorite score of the night, "#1" Minn falls to Fairbanks in OT 4-3 after giving up the tying goal in the final couple minutes of regulation. And #2 DU looks ready to fall to #12 Maine, 3-1 with under 2 minutes to go. #4 BC lost tonight to Michigan.

Oh, and I'd be willing to bet we'll be undefeated this weekend ;-), #1 next week? ;-)

And Michigan is now 3-0, and will probaqbly be 4-0 after Sunday.

My money says if OSU beats CC on Saturday, then they're #1, Michigan #2 and we stay #3.  If OSU and CC split, Michigan is #1, OSU and CC #2 & #3 and we're #4.

Not that it matters.  ::rolleyes::

Too bad it doesn't work like the conveyor-belt college football poll, where you just keep moving up until you lose, at which point you practically drop out of the rankings...  We'd be #1 this morning - would love to see that bitchfest on USCHO!

#2 DU falls again to Maine, 4-1
#1 Minn comes away winless with a 3-3 tie
#4 BC wins tonight to split the weekend

Around the ECAC:
UConn and Union tie, 4-4
SLU over Providence, 5-3
Colgate fell to Lake Superior, 3-2
Clarkson fell to UMass, 4-2
QU beat Bentley, 6-0 - again, a win's a win ;)

so that's 2-2-1 on the night, plus 4-1-1 last night = 6-3-2 on the weekend for the conference

Not the greatest competition, mind you, but I'll take the winning record.

Can't forget RPI, who beat Michigan Tech last night 4-3 up in Alaska (they lost to UAA on Friday).  That makes it...3-2-1 on the night, plus the 4-1-1 from Friday = 7-3-2.  Go ECAC!

[/q]I thought that they handled Notre Dame well in today's polls...  #9 loses a close game to #1 and stays at #9, seems about right.
