The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forward Jeff O'Neill from the Carolina Hurricanes for a conditional pick in the 2006 draft.
Is that the highest ever a Cornell player has been picked???
I'm pretty sure it is the highest. No Cornell player has even gone in the first round if I remember correctly.
Prior to Pokoluk, Ryan Hughes was the previous earliest pick. He went in the 2nd round in 1990, at #22 overall. Eight previous 2nd rounders, no first round picks.

Edit: I may be reading this wrong w.r.t Dryden. See the other thread.
Why do you think Ben Bishop, the gigantic incoming goalie recruit for Maine hasn't been drafted yet and to other goalies, Jeff Frazee (Minnesota recruit) and Jonathan Quick (Mass.) have been selected.
Wasn't Bishop supposed to be the best incoming collegiate goalie??

Update: The Blues have drafted Bishop with the 85th overall pick (3rd round)
Colorado is picking up some good NCAA college picks:
Paul Stastny (Denver, F, Round 2, Pick 44)
Tom Fritsche (Ohio State, F, Round 2, Pick 47)
T.J. Hensick (Michigan, F, Round 3, Pick 88)
So far, 8 players ranked lower (in the CSS) than Connors and Greening have been drafted
Colin Greening Drafted Round 7, 204th Overall by Ottawa
