Mike Cieslak, HS teammate of former Cornell target Billy Sauer, is joining the US program. He'll be the 2nd Rochester area player in the program (Kevin Montgomery, D).

I haven't heard anything on Chad Morin (Auburn/USNDTP) in a bit & found this:

Sioux City also has kids from Buffalo & Syracuse on their protected roster.
This was also interesting:
Over 30 Division One college coaches attended the 2005 Musketeers tryout camp along with thousands of Muskie fans who filled the IBP Ice Center over the past few days. Six games were played by 80 participants from 21 states and 2 Canadian Provinces over the past few days in front of enthusiastic crowds. Some of the powerful D-1 schools represented included the Universities of MN, Mn Duluth, St. Cloud State, Boston College, Colorado College, Maine, New Hampshire, Northestern, Providence, Ohio State, Michigan, Boston U, and Michigan State.
Northeastern is a powerful D-I school? Since when?

Well, since...ok, this is from their website:
• The men's hockey team has made three NCAA championship appearances, and has won four Beanpot titles, one ECAC and one Hockey East title.
That sounded like an impressive tryout. I'm assuming (hoping) Cornell had someone there.
Well, Cornell has never won a Hockey East title and we never even get invited to play in the Beanpot. So Northeastern must be a pretty good hockey school...

Rats - gotta get that kid back east before he turns Gopher on us...
Chad Morin has narrowed his decision down to Vermont, Boston College and Cornell.
Don't leave us hanging Chad.
