Title: Maine-New Hampshire score updates [SPOILERS!!]
Post by: jtwcornell91 on April 04, 2002, 02:01:53 PM
For those who are not listening from work and not planning to watch a tape when they get home:

Maine and UNH are tied at 1 midway thru the first.  Maine seemed to have gone up 2-1, but on the replay the puck had slid in under the side of the net (the goalie was leaning against the post, and had lifted the cage off the ice just enough) and was waved off.

UHN gets the SGH to take the lead 2-1 late in the first.

Incidentally, was Haydar hanging out with Hornby in Worcester?  Earlier this period he checked Nault into Maine goalie Morrison and flattened both of them. ::twitch:: ::laugh::

Still 2-1 after one.  I make the odds about 2:1 against that a fight breaks out in the next period.

Maine takes the lead 3-2 during an interview with Shawn Walsh's widow. ::yark::

Third period about to get underway; still 3-2 Maine.

My theory: Cornell beat up UNH so badly and rattled their confidence so severly that UNH after 2 weeks of rest still hasn't recovered. :-P

According to a poster on USCHO, UHN hasn't won a single game this year when Haydar goes without a point.  Guess how many he has today?

Well, he's back out of the penalty box.  7-2 Maine.  Anyone keeping count of how often St. Shawn's name has been invoked?  ::yark::

Yeah, honestly, I'm tired of hearing them talk about Walsh, and I'm not even watching or listening to it.  :-D

So much for the theory posted on another thread that Cornell had a great year and didn't really miss an opportunity because, after, all, I had "no idea" how good

U.

Yes!  Glad I didn't have to be the first to say it. ;-)
