I hate UHN, but I don't want this all-WCHA crap.

Note: not that we can't do it, but I would like a backup in case we don't. In fact, I would like no more than 2 WCHA teams, that's too much already.

just went to intermission.

now time to get an update on the denver's radio's guys exploits to the men's room :-D

and like delta-one, I agree... a wcha dominated frozen four would not be very much fun.

Well, what did we expect when the WCHA got three #1 seeds?  Insane.  Even the ACC didn't get three #1 seeds this year in squeekball.  But my arm is getting tired...

UHN playing much stronger in the 2nd period.  Hate to root for them but can't let three WCHA teams in to the FF.

Does that get credited as an SHG when it comes on a penalty shot?

I would assume it does. The breakaway that caused it was done SH, so the shorthanded play did cause the whole thing.

Yeowch... UHN-er blocks a shot with his groin

Well if this score holds, there are probably going to be a whole lot of fans from all conferences all over the country rooting for Cornell just to avoid having a WCHA reunion in Columbus.

empty netter by gauthier (sp) a hattrick and the 3rd whca team to the frozen four.

LET'S GO RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the Big Red are all that's left to stop an all WCHA frozen four and the inevitable discussion of what is better - avoiding first-round conference matchups or avoiding the potential for an all single-conference Frozen Four.  Personally, I would find the Frozen Four a tad boring if it were all ECAC teams.
