Coming out flat is a poor strategy, apparently...

Nice to see Wodon...and Melrose is still rocking the mullet!  ::rock::

and right on cue, Bemidji gets a breakaway but can't lift the puck to get the 2-1 lead...too bad

this is the first time I have seen Bemidji State this year and they are a much better team than Mercyhurst...Mercyhurst put up the same fight though

Is Bemidji close to where the tragedy was in Minnesota?

sounds like it went off a du player.

"Another crazy goal"  Denver just tossed the puck on net and it squeezed through.

So many early goals in most of the games.  Hard to imagine that trend will continue in our game tonight, but after the Colgate game, who knows.

anyone else listening to denver audio feed? during the commericials you get access to the announcer having a "one-sided" conversation with his producer (who we don't hear)... it's like unintentionally eavesdropping on someone's cell phone conversation..... too much info at times....

well should we ever meet up with denver in the future, we know what bring as a "gift"...
maybe the du announcers can get sponsorship from "depends". ::nut::

2nd period just started....
Title: Re: Denver vs. Bemidji

Another great point about Bemidji potentially winning here:

Remember, the committee decide to take it onto themselves to decide Denver was better and to give them the "reward" of facing Bemidji. Maybe if they're "reward" comes back to bite Denver in the ass, the committee will learn not to stick their asses where it doesn't belong and just do their job.

Are you all listening to this game on College Sports Pass from the link that Rita kindly supplied?  If so, when I click on the "listen" link on the Denver home page, it brings up my Cornell College Sports Pass and I get the message that says something to the effect of, "Please tune in during broadcast hours."  How do I change over, or can I?  Sorry to be such a pain but this is all new to me.  Thanks and

LET'S GO RED!!!

I'm listening through the Bemidji site that Rita posted. No sports pass necessary.

Bemidji ties it!

On a great tip from 10 feet out, a shot going 10 feet wide initially.
Title: Re: 3-3
Post by: atb9 on March 26, 2005, 01:57:22 PM
Bemidji gets a turnover off of the boards and tosses the puck on net...CC looked a lot better than Denver IMO.

just a few min in ... a pp goal, and apparently another fluke goal. hope someone puts together a video recap of these goals.. all sound weird.

Wow, didn't even see the tip!  I was wondering how the heck it found the net...puck was tossed in from the blue line and tipped near the circle through the legs of the Denver goalie

Yes, very close by.  It's a beautiful area in the northwest part of the state with a number of Indian reservations, national forests, lakes of course, and summer homes.  A lot of community feeling.  I'm sure it was devastating to the entire community.

kaaren...
if you do have the sports pass, but are having trouble, sometimes logging into your acct info (via real.com) helps. then re-open the site with the links and try again. If i haven't been on in a while, the computer sometimes "forgets" that i have a sports pass and am suppose to be able to access the event.

I'm listening on denver's feed without any problems.

though it sounds like the bsu link is the easiest, but you miss all the extra commentary during the commericial breaks  ::nut::

No ticky tack call on this penalty...that Bemidji players head snapped back and got slammed into the boards...good call and way to take one for the team

Bemidji on the PP, 5:08 remaining

Post by: DeltaOne81 on March 26, 2005, 02:21:32 PM
Bemidji going on the PP, another kinda silly little penalty, but probably less silly than the previous one.

PP over, Bemidji gets nothing

scramble in from of the Bemidji net, but can't get it through... icing

coming back to the Bemidji zone with 2:20 left - going to commercial again
Title: Re: Denver vs. Bemidji
Post by: atb9 on March 26, 2005, 02:25:39 PM
approx 2 min left...Bemidji had a bunch of players on the ice in front of their net trying to block shots...it worked and they cleared the puck for an icing

Do you have a cell-phone with free weekends? If so, if you want to call me I can put the phone by the computer, until this game is over. PM me for my phone number if you want to do this.

Going to OT!

I wonder if any of these feeds will switch over to Minn/Maine?
FSN-North maybe?

Shots were well in favor of Denver that period but the freshman goalie and PK for Bemidji were huge.

Yup, FSN-North going to Minn. I'm sure Altitude will stay in G.R. ESPN-U, who knows. At the moment I figure they'll just do Minn as bonus coverage until G.R. is over.

3rd period just ended 3-3.

okay.. now this is going to push back the unh-harvard game...
what will altitude do... stick with unh-harvard to the end and then pick up cornell-osu? ::twitch::

yikes!! someone better win this game real quick.

2.5 hr with tv timeouts is about right for 1 regulation game....

Wodon interviewing Yale (Asst?) AD Wayne Dean, who is also chairman of the D-I hockey committee.

Nice second interview by Wodon after Dean had to take all the crap for the seedings on the selection show.

okay... How do i call the denver announcer and tell him no tv timeouts in OT.. and indeed, there aren't any shoot-outs.
he should also have some interviews taped with denver players/coaches etc so that he can "discretely" take his rest-room breaks.
