I hope nobody gets P.O.ed for me putting this on the main board instead of the exchange.
I just exchanged emails with a UND fan. He's looking to dump his tickets and would prefer they ended up in the hands of COrnell or OSU fans rather than gopher fans. He's holding one for me, and is looking to round out a 2 or 4 seat package. Yes that's right. It looks like there are up to three more tickets.
His name is Tim Cook and his email is fortparker911@msn.com. He was online as of 5 minutes ago (9:30 AM). Make sure you let him know I sent you.
Also, I just spoke to the Cornell ticket office. They will be having a meeting later today to establish ticket policy. Tickets will go on sale sometime tomorrow (Tuesday). He was not sure of our allocation, but thought it would be 500. He also said he would be surprised if they all got sold.

Edit (12:35 PM). I believe these tix are now gone. Tim sent me an email from another Cornellian who was willing to take his other three tickets.
Called ticket office, gave them my credit card and they said I'll have two seats waiting at Will Call at Mariucci. Policy is "first come, first served."
Update on prior post - just got a call from the Ticket Office. They are getting the physical tickets, so they will overnight them to remote locations Tuesday for Wednesday delivery. The "Will Call" option is not available.
I was told they'd be overnighted today and could be picked up tomorrow, Tuesday, after 1:00.
500 comp tickets for a 9700-seat arena - don't get me started with how "fair" that is ::worry::
just hope that I can get 4 tickets for my friends and I...
Because of how far the travel is, I don't see there being high demand for the 500 tickets. Also, there are tickets available on EBay and standing room for individual games. If we can get 500 Cornell fans there, I think we can be a good presence.
I posted this on another thread concerning getting to Minnesota.

Further down it states some information about standing room only tickets, but I doubt many of you folks on the east coast want to travel all the way out to the midwest only to discover there are no tickets available.

Just to clarify my post in case it wasn't clear, as Age says, tickets will be in Ithaca tomorrow. The ticket office will then overnight them for Wed. delivery to out-of-towners who ordered.
Ah. I get it now ::nut::
does anyone know if there are still tix available through the Cornell ticket office?
i am pretty sure there are
Any unsold tickets in the Cornell allotment will be going back to Minnesota for sale there, so let's hope we can get 500 (if that's the number) Faithful to fill those seats.
FYI - the cornell section is section 2. (I just got my tickets at the Ticket Office)

So far, the ticket office has sold rows 3-13. They have 300 tickets, and have sold about half that number. PLEASE CORNELL FANS, buy the rest; all we want is to have gopher fans sitting behind us. (ugh).
FWIW, this morning I was told there were about 80 left.
this is a good thing for standing, no?
as long as those 80 are ours by now

as long as those 80 are ours by now[/q]I've been told on USCHO that at previous Mariucci regionals, schools' allotments covered pretty much a whole section. I think as long as we bought all 80, we should be able to manage putting people who want to sit at the bottom and people who want to stand at the top.
You can also be sure that at least for the Saturday regional, there will be plenty of empty seats near the Cornell section. I have no idea where my seat will be - I haven't asked the guy selling them to me - but I plan to move over with the Faithful if that's at all possible.
It may be one section but it will be Big and Red. :-P
My tickets have arrived, overnighted from the Ticket Office. Thank you.
Sec. 2, Row 14, Seats 19-20.
Let's Go Red, Let's Go Red, .........

[waiting patiently for the mail guy to bring them around on one of his rounds]

Got 'em.
Section 2, Row 16, 21-23.
Like I said, I have row 13. seat 16
Only problem is that there's going to be FRIGGIN net inbetween my camera and the ice.
What kind of camera? They won't let anything they deem "professional" into NCAA events. Even prosumer crap usually gets turned away.
pepsi arena let me use it.
I think I had to sneak it past the guards in providence, but once I was inside, no one bothered me. Its just a plain old nikon SLR camera w/telephoto.
I'll keep my fingers crossed though.
ECAC doesn't care. You won't get in with it at the regional. Two years ago my options were go back to the car or leave it in their offices (after I bitched a lot). Better leave it home and save yourself the hassle.
Anybody know whether we bought all of the tickets CU was allotted?
Don't think they got close. I asked how sales were when I picked up tickets, and he said something along the lines of "OK. It's hard to expect a lot of people to make a trip like that on short notice." Doesn't sound like anything resembling a sellout.
For anyone just deciding to go, tickets can be ordered over the phone from the U Minn. box office starting at noon Central time today. Ask for Section 2, the Cornell section.

They sold roughly 250 of the 400 they got.
We'll just have to be loud then. I think we can pull it off. :-P
I'll come over and join the Cornell section during our game(s, hopefully). I have no idea where my official seat is.
