UND 3, Minn 2 (Early 3rd)
COolgate 1-0 330 1st
UAF 3-1 in late 2d
Gametracker has the following results.
Colgate leading vermont 1-0 in the first period.
Oh yeah, does anyone want to kill some time in #lynah before the main event?
Gate 2-0 End 1
Does the UAF-MSU score matter at all? I know MSU affects our RPI, but does the result of the game change anything?
9:30 left, 3rd, still 3 - 2 UND

MSU winning knocks Vermont out of the at-large picture.
If UAF wins, then Vermont's chances for the bid remain alive pending the outcome of the AHA title game.
Of course a Colgate win makes it all moot - they get the bid regardless in that case.
3 - 2 UND still, ~5:40left
340 left now
[q]MSU winning knocks Vermont out of the at-large picture. [/q]Or, from your perspective, a UAF win keeps Dartmouth's hopes alive! Thanks.
So wait... Cornell & Harvard are both definitely in. Quinnipiac (which I'd also really like to see in) makes it with a win in their conference championship. So Colgate, Vermont, & Dartmouth are fighting for the last spot. Of those, I'd least like to see the departing Vermont team make it. Of Colgate & Dartmouth I'd probably prefer fellow Ivy Dartmouth.
What needs to happen for Dartmouth to get in? For whom should I be rooting?
IDEAL SCENARIO IMO:
-Cornell #1 seed
-Harvard in
-Dartmouth in (I'd be satisfied with Colgate in, but slightly less happy)
-Quinnipiac in
Any chance of all of the above happening?
Thanks,
Chris '03
2:20left, still 3 -2 UNH
slashing penalty against the gophers....they're going to need a shorthanded goal to come back. lets go sioux!
minne takes a penalty with 2 04 left
PP goal....4 -2 UND!!!
UND TOP SHELF for 4-2 at ~1:50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UAF 3, MSU 2 final
Gate 2 UVM 1 2nd
Looks like gametracker is messed up. The actual score is 3-2 UAF (final).
Any Gate updates?
I am half-listening to the 'Gate's game. UVM is going to start the 3rd period on PP. The feed is broadcasting press conference about hiring Steve Hagwell.

Boston College PPG
BC up 2-1

UHN will start 3rd with 45-ish seconds of PP.
Okay, Red. Let's re-group.
Uh, and you, too, Wildcats.
Anyone know how CC has started?

Gametracker has matching roughing penalties 28 seconds in to the first period.
UHN 1-4 on PP, can't think they'll get too many more chances.
Still BC 2-1
15:00 left in game
UHN gets *another* PP opportunity (on a shaky call), but can't capitalize. BC still leads by 1 with 8 minutes to go.
CC 0
DU 0
after 1
Mercyhurst ties it against Q.U. with 5 minutes left. 2-2. I've completely lost track of who I should root for.
::uhoh::
BC scores on a breakaway. 3-1
:-(
Final Score:
BC 3
UHN 1
Probably the first time I ever rooted for those idiots. Be glad to get back to hating them intensely. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
Let's Go Red!
Let's Go Tigers!
OT for Mercyhurst and Quinnipiac-ack-ack-ack-ack.
No idea who to root for. Focusing all between-period energies on CC.
BC wins 3-1 over UHN
Go CC!
1-0 Denver leading CC after 2 periods. PP goal for Denver off the inside of the post late in the 2nd.
CC has looked dangerous but just hasn't been able to convert.
Anybody have the audio link for CC/Den?
off uscho:
DU is pay
http://denverpioneers.collegesports.com/
CC is free I believe
http://www.coloradocollege.edu/athl..._sports/hockey/
A second goal by Denver waved off for a skate in the crease with 12 minutes left.

CC uses the Yahoo audio service, which does not list the CC DU game for this evening. :(
So I've not found a way to listen for free.
I'll post updates since I'm watching the game in my home in Colorado Springs.
CC dominate the first period and a half but couldn't convert. They helf Denver scoreless on a 1:50 5x3 midway through the second, but gave up a pretty PP goal late in the second.
There's now 7:30 left in the game, and CC has looked flat in the 3rd. Both goalies have been outstanding.
As many updates as you can stomach typing, I, for one, appreciate it.
No problem. 4:40 left, 1-0. PP coming up for CC.
Half of PP gone. 1 decent shot, saved.
Stupid penalty on CC, 20 seconds before the end of their PP, 2:00 left in game. CC not looking good.
Pairwise is settling. CC wins, CU gets a #3, Denver wins, CU gets a #5
Boy. We simply couldn't catch a break these past two weeks.
So frustrating. A 14-loss team is going to be seeded ahead of us. Eesh.
:-(
CC had a 2-1 SH and did nothing with it.
I had the timing slightly off in my last post. Now 94 sec. left in the game, 0:36 left in Den PP.
Pulling the goalie, 1 min left.
Icing on Den. 10 sec left. 6x5.
Timeout CC.
Game over. 1-0 Denver. CC did very little late in the game.
Looks like Minn, going 0-2 this weekend, will still get the #1 seed.

F--k this system. Seriously. F--k it.

No kidding. We have 4 losses all year long. Some claim that it's because of our weak schedule, but Minnesota I believe is 4-4-1 this year against teams NOT under consideration. Ridiculous.
Any team who wants the national championship has to win 4 games.
Oh, and you have to play good teams too.
Let's go where we're sent, play who we're told to play, and just win the damn games.
My point: I would like to see them in person.
Now I'm sad.
we shall see what happens.
perhaps you will see them in person.
