It's just a matter of who gets the third bid.
Right now here are the scenarios using a 3-2-1 bonus. Note I may be wrong, considering I originally had the CCHA Championship mattering but now it appears that it doesn't change anything. But to the best of my knowledge, here's how it shakes out.
Gate gets the bid with:
a win or tie
UVM gets the bid with:
a win AND a Quinnipiac win AND a UAF win
Dartmouth gets the bid with:
a Vermont win AND a Mercyhurst win, or
a Vermont win AND a Michigan St. win or tie
I'm no expert on this, but I'm pretty darn sure no one is playing to a tie from here on out.

It make sense to have only 1 OT for consy. We don't want any delay to the main event.
Exactly, teams already hate playing the consol game 99% of the time (this year being the exception with an NCAA bid at stake), and making them play unlimited overtimes in a normally meaningless game would be cruel and unusual punishment.
That said, if UVM-Gate goes to OT, when does Sneddon pull the goalie?
OK, wait... I'm confused. :)
Obviously I want us to beat Colgate, so Colgate's out. Of the remaining teams in contention, I'd like to see Dartmouth get it over Vermont, since Vermont is leaving. Also, I'd like to see Quinnipiac get in since they're going to be joining the ECAC. Let me see if I get this straight...
Quinnipiac beats Mercyhurst
Vermont beats Harvard
Michigan State beats Alaska-Fairbanks
...if those three things happen, I would get my wish and see Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth, and Quinnipiac in the NCAA Tournament?

WOW! I am so very, very stupid. This is what happens when you're so wrapped up in basketball that you don't give college hockey the attention it deserves. I think someone on the web was pulling my leg last night (and I obviously fell for it). Don't worry though. I'm on USCHO now getting caught up on everything in the world of college hockey (ECAC and other leagues). I can feel my college hockey current events IQ rising. I'll be up to speed in no time. Forgive the slip-up and my confusion...
