Hi..
I got the xmi feed going from work.. they had some of the warm-ups (camera trained pm centered ice), now its the ecachl promo video clips. the bands are playing in the background. will xmi provide audio feed, and if so whose (cornell's? uvm or their own or cstv?) just curious.
let's go red!!!
(and for selfish reasons still hoping they end up in grand rapids:

ps.. now showing play-by-by guys (from cstv?) awaiting their cue to speak.

ed... adam and bob norton, who just received their cue to speak......
So it isa 20 minutes to game time and the feed is already a little jerky, anyone want to wager how many minutes into the 1st period the server goes down? :-P
i'm so confused...did they just rewind the tape or something? i get a blank screen now...
wonder what the real problem is.. CSTV streamed 10-15000 connections for the NCAA b-ball.. is XMI lacking equipment or access to bandwidth?
whoa.... super crappy....
crapped out entirely already?
I got nothing right now (4:14 EST)
I got nothing ..........
I wrote the ECAC about two weeks ago saying I was very concerned that XMI would have trouble handling the traffic - given that they have occasional problems with a regular Cornell webcast with paying customers. I've now lost both picture and sound. It's a nefarious ECAC plot to get me to go to Albany next year.
yup...hopefully they're just working on the equipment and its not an indication of how the broadcast is going to be. Looks like its trying to buffer and then just craps out.
Ok, every time I get booted (which is fairly often considering it's just the pregame) I have to buffer and stream about 5 minutes of the Cornell-Colgate pregame from Lynah. Anyone else having this experience? Maybe I should download the stream through the website one more time.
And the feed is dead on my end, too.
mine went black too............
I tried the stream about an hour ago and they just had some old sample stuff up from what looked to be the quarterfinal series at Lynah.
And yes, my feed was working (choppily, considering I'm at school on a 100Mbps connection), but has now died.
Edit: Now I have the color bars.
anybody dropped them a line?
buffering again...whoo hoooo
i just hit the play button- and i'm at least getting color bars now.....
lol....i got the feed back, and now its just vertical colored bars...THIS IS AWESOME! at least the bars dont seem choppy (if thats even possible).
yay color bars!
Yes!!
Test Pattern...
I've got the color bars and feedback, and I can hear the PA announcer in the background. Does anyone else or are you just getting feedback and color bars?
I see occasionally feed switching and can hear the annoucer in the background.
lots of feedback...can faintly hear the pa announcer.
Same here, test pattern, some muffled background audio.
Well, now there's a graphic saying what game it is, but still test pattern in background.
Vermont radio feed is working great. Any tech gurus know if this will prevent XMI from working if it ever comes back online?
We'll, we're all on the same page. There's the LGR chant. Brings me back to my WVBR days and scrambling to get the feeds working right at the last minute (or at least watching the Engineer do it). Lets go Red!
I'm still getting a black screen with no audio
Everyone email XMI and hopefully theyll correct it.
Audio is good now....but a black screen.
my test pattern is gone...so is the feedback...but not just a black screen and background audio.
Now a black screen with faint audio but at least no feedback...I guess that's progress. ::uhoh::
video back!
i wouldnt mind if it had no audio...
choppy choppy choppy
video but the audio is all crackly, sounds like theyre trying to get the right feed out
We're getting a mix of audio feeds. One is the open mic from the PA announcer and also the CSTV "pre-game" for later.
yeah...hopefully they get this synched up...
yeah i hear the announcers and see players skating on the ice, but also hear the anthem going on
Buffering every three seconds.
Someone please post if the audio begins working. For now I will put it on mute and listen to the radio feed instead.
Mine is working just fine. During the commercials, you just hear the background and have a black screen.
where's the radio feed at for this?
We are underway!

thanks
Well I like we're getting the TV feed instead of some random camera. Wonder if we get instant replays too?
i got a frozen screen at 18:59..
good thing i'm not paying $$$ for this!! I would be *extremely* irate.
okay.. i re-loaded and things are working ok... for now.
let's go red!
rita
Wow, dead black during commercials.
Rita, you going to update the subject line by any chance?
