Title: Saturday radio
Post by: French Rage on March 22, 2002, 11:38:21 PM
Assuming we win Friday, does anyone know what radio stations will broadcast Saturday's game, preferrably for someone passing through PA to Ithaca when the game starts?

What are we going to win on Friday?  Is there a lax game or something?

The games are Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. 3:30 pm on Saturday in the first round.

Odds are, the only radio coverage you'll find will be in the towns where there are teams participating. You're unlikely to find any coverage before you reach Ithaca, where the games will be on WHCU, 870 AM.

well, if you're taking 81 up through PA, you can hear 870 AM when you hit binghamton. it might be a little static-y but you'll hear most of the broadcast. of course, if they're not playing while you're driving, you're probably not going to hear the broadcast at all ;-)

True, in the afternoon, 870 AM carries pretty far. Especially when you consider how tough it is to get it in certain parts of Ithaca! (Lynah Rink, for example.)

I remember listening to much more of a football game than I expected to be able to, on the way to Scranton one Saturday afternoon.

Yeah, I meant Sunday.
