guys lets keep voting and get him back into the top 10 :-)
McKee has closed on 10th by about 150 in the last day. He's still 750 out but there seems to have been renewed interest in voting.
Or a drop off in interest in the #10 guy.
He's back out of 10th by 1100. Oh well. :-/
[q]Every head hockey coach at an accredited Division I NCAA school receives one ballot. Coaches are asked to pick the top three players in their league and the top three players in the nation (two separate rankings, three players each; a player may be listed in both places, and a coach can vote for his own player).
Coaches from 58 schools are eligible. The ballots are tabulated by an accounting firm, and the top ten candidates are named.
This top ten advances to the Selection Committee, which decides the eventual winner from the top ten. This committee is composed of print media, electronic media, NHL scouts, and the American Hockey Coaches Association (college hockey coaches). Its members are spread out among the hockey-playing section of the United States. The committee also includes an individual from USA Hockey.
Selection Committee terms are three years, and members may be reappointed. Selection Committee nominees are approved by a six-member Advisory Committtee representing expertise in all facets of hockey.

I'm trying to underastand what, if any, importance does this voting by fans have. I read the selection process above, and I do not see where does our voting even figure in.
That said, I vote every day.
In this round: The aggregate of the fan vote counts as one vote out of 59, with the 58 Div. I coaches having the other 58. So our vote has very little weight.
What we don't know, exactly, is how our vote manifests itself - do they take the top three from our voting and cast it as a top-three ballot like the coaches' ballots? Do they just take the one winner of our voting? We have no idea. What is fairly obvious (to me, anyway) is that having McKee in 11th place in the fan voting means that he won't actually benefit from the fan voting in this round, and that having him in 10th wouldn't fix that. We have to count on the coaches recognizing that he belongs among the finalists, and voting that way.

Well, I feel fairly confident in counting on the coaches. After all, the top two guys in the fan voting are great big sieves. If they get their names on 1 of 59 ballots because of fan voting, I'm quite certain it will be the only ballot with their names.
I vote here like I vote in the national elections. It has no effect on the outcome, and I know the bad guys are stuffing the boxes, but hey, it's my only input.

Bowling Green has done some serious ballot stuffing in the last week.
Now 1005 behind the #10 guy from Niagara. Maybe he'll start picking up some ECAC voters if he wins all-conference.
Just took a look at that and Jeremy Downs has surpassed Matt Moulson.... very interesting. Somebody's been campaigning!!
Preliminary voting is complete. McKee finished in 11th. Final voting begins with the announcement of the finalists on 3/17. Hopefully, he will be one of the finalists and we can merrily stuff away.

Less stuffing in the final round of Stuff For Hobey. IIRC you're only allowed to vote once.

Once per e-mail address. Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo will get a lot of use...hence the nickname, Stuff for Hobey.

They will also get your votes deleted if they catch you doing it.

In other words, if you must stuff, do it not just from different e-mail addresses, but from different IP addresses.

And also don't talk about ballot stuffing on your team's fan forum. You never know about those spies among us...
