So we're at the bottom of a 2 way tie for 3rd (effectively 4th) in pairwise.
Interestingly, whether you add a 5-3-1 or a 3-2-1 bonus or none at all, it still comes out the same (for us).
Now lets see how it goes once the scores out west are in.
If only we'd beaten BC ...

UMD is 11-15-5...how about beating DU and then rooting for them to lose?
UMD 4, DU 0 (mid-2nd).
UMD 6, DU 1 (end of 2)
I'll say one thing. DO NOT wanna face UMASS Lowell in the NCAA's. They are a real dark horse.
Minn 6, US U18 team 4
Minnesota has no defense or goaltending.

Well that doesn't seem likely to happen, 6-1 UMD after 2.
On the bright side, Minn is only 1-1 against UMD, so it'll hurt Minn, if not the other WCHA teams. UND is only 1-1 against them too, so it won't help them much. CC is 0-1-1.
It'll help Wisc (2-0) and DU (1-0-1) though.
Looks like splits for top three teams in poll this weekend. UMD 6 DU 1 at end of 2nd. UMD outshot DU by same differential in both periods but had 5-goal explosion in 2nd. After last night's close one, looks as if DU has run out of gas.

BC lost both to Lowell this weekend.
My bad. Should be an interesting Monday. Cornell in third by itself now in PWR.
also of note, with 2 games with pending finals...'gate and dc get in as 13 and 14 if the tourney happened now without upsets. looking at the minne comparison, cornell needs a lot of help with minne losing 3 or 4 games against tucs and/or cornell winning against tucs (beating slu(t) next weekend and having them stay a tuc will be important) and/or scsu +- mankato losing tuc status could swing things cornells way - AND if cornell keeps above them in rpi. should be interesting. wisconsin dropped like a rock to 15!
still pending games :)
denver final is in and with the 3-2-1 cornell is in as the #3 overall. not sure if the alaska game will change things. but i will see that in the AM :) ::nut::
If you ignore bonus points, Cornell is a #1 seed right now and Colgate and Dartmouth get the final two at large bids. That scenario would set up a sweet payback for two years ago. With 2 ECAC teams in the #4 band Cornell would be guaranteed a first round game against the AH or CHA entrants.
