1 13:25 Cor Pegoraro 7 (McLeod 1, McCutcheon 5)
1 14:45 Cor sh Iggulden 7 (Knoepfli 7, Cook 10)

3 13:34 Cor pp Knoepfli 7 (O'Byrne 5)
3 19:12 Yal pp Jackson (Page)
Any reason for that substitution?
No reason given so far, but Schafer may say after the commercial break.
Schafer statements from pregame interview:
+ Dominated territorially vs Princeton.
+ Coaches did a great job.
+ Great to see balance.
+ Impressive to shut out a good offensive team.
+ McKee was amazing at 'Gate, and the next two games he's done what's needed.
+ No doubt McKee is best G in ECAC, he'll get the credit eventually.
+ Yale much improved lately and must be respected.
+ We get everybody's best game every night, which makes us better.
Most of those statements were Jason Weinstein-crafted questions followed by Mike agreeing and then sometimes expanding it. I've never really appreciated before how tough an interview Mike is. He's *very* close to the chest.
Tim Taylor statements from pregame interview:
+ (Cue South Park clip of Pope.)
Kidding. But he didn't say anything interesting.
Yeah, the free opponent's audio is basketball. I'm gonna listen to the "Big Red" Freakout via wrpi and follow the CU game here.
A quiet first two minutes for Cornell.

My guess is they'll move over to the hockey game once the Yale vs. Sucks basketball game is over.
Scott has a nice shot and then there's a clean feed through the crease but nobody there to knock it by Modelski. Yale putting together some decent pressure on McKee.
The yale feed is switching to hockey once the bball game is over (it's inside the last minute...pray it doesn't go to OT).
15:27 to go in first; Cook with a heavy shot well wide; faceoff in Yale end.
Schafer having an intimate conversation with Frank Murphy, tonight's referee. No idea why.
Bitz wins the face; Hynes rips a shot wide, then Moulson wraps it around from behind Modelski but is stopped. That was our first protracted chance. Faceoff in Cornell end after the cxlear and a tie-up; about 6 mins in.

Asking him to be his valentine?
Knoepfli with a great steal sets up Pegs but the latter is just wide; Leclerc of Yale with a strong rush, but Carefoot comes back the other way and is taken down without a call. McKee redirects into corner where there's a whistle and Cornell is whistled for a bench minor for inability to count. Scott serving. Jensen a great shot off the faceoff but McKee a big save.
Downs clears to kill the first 30 secs on the penalty, then Knoepfli breaks up the Yale rush and sends it down; Iggy with a sweep check to stop the next rush, 1 min left in pp.
Now Knoepfli with an ice-length clear but Modelski comes out deep, directs it back to the Yale rush and the Bulldogs score -- Boucher.
Moulson leads the rush off the faceoff, and BITZ TIES IT UP!!!!!!!!
Yale feed is switching to the game now
Here's the scoring:
1 08:07 Yal pp Boucher ()
1 08:29 Cor Bitz 3 (Moulson 11, Downs 6)
Pegs now whistled for holding, Yale pp #2.
McCutcheon's mini-break shorthanded draws the even-up penalty.
Very up-tempo game so far. End to end now on the 4x4.
Cornell wrestling clinched their 3rd stright Ivy title with a win at Harvard today.
Cornell now on pp in the Yale end.
Even strength again. I think both teams could use a breather.
But screw that, PEGS SCORES!!!
Hynes whistled, Yale pp #3.
Iggy!!
WOW
Tonight's scoring:
1 08:07 Yal pp Boucher ()
1 08:29 Cor Bitz 3 (Moulson 11, Downs 6)
1 13:25 Cor Pegoraro 7 (McLeod 1, McCutcheon 5)
NOW IGGY SHORTHANDED!!!! 3-1!
was that another shortie?
Can you believe it???
LGR!!!
Scoring on the third Cornell goal:
1 14:45 Cor sh Iggulden 7 (Gleed 3, Cook 10)
Iggulden's 3rd shorty and second in two nights. Jason says Knoepfli should have had one assist.
Even strength again.
Interference on Salmela. 16:57 of 1st, Yale 4th pp.
i think we might finally have a shorthanded threat
Carefoot blocks two shots on the kill; 30 secs to go on pp.
Even strength. O'Byrne down after a hard check; trainer out.
O'Byrne up and skating very unhappily to the bench, doubled over.
McKee with a nice save on Jermaine, then Burns blocks his own man's shot in crease; period ends.
SOG: Cornell 9-6.
Out of town scores:
SLU 1 Vermont 1, late 1st
Colgate 1 Princeton 0, end 1st
Clarkson 1 Dartmouth 1, late 1st
RPI 1 Brown 0, early 1st
UMass 1 UNH 0, late 1st
Iggy's now tied for "4th" with 8 other people with 3 shorthanded goals.
http://www.uscho.com/stats/
after looking around over on USCHO i noticed that Coach Schafer’s record currently stands at 189-102-34 after last night … so he's closing in on win number 200!!!
Men's hoops: Cornell 23 at Penn 14, early. Be still my heart.
Scoring changes on first period goals:
1 08:07 Yal pp Boucher (Mayer, Craig)
1 08:29 Cor Bitz 3 (Moulson 11, Hynes 17)
1 13:25 Cor Pegoraro 7 (McLeod 1, McCutcheon 5)
1 14:45 Cor sh Iggulden 7 (Knoepfli 7, Cook 10)
Cornell going on pp #1.
Even strength again.
Yale pp #5.
Bball update:
Cornell leading Penn 26-22 at the half!
UAA v. Minny is on TV for those of you who get FSN North ... pregame just started.
Knoepfli cleanly checks Boucher off the ice and into the Cornell bench. ;-)
But then O'Byrne gets another interference. 5x3 advantage for Yale.
table for one ... Mr O'Byrne ... your table is now ready.
Oh good...didn't know if O'Byrne was back...he got a penalty it seems.
One man back, 5x4.
"Your usual, Mr. O'Byrne? Very good, sir."
McKee stops 3 shots on the two pp's combined. Even strength again.
The O'Byrne liability poll is currently exactly 2:1, 132-66 No.
uhn 3 umass 1

That's the end of two.
SOG in 2nd, Yale 9-8. Much more controlled period with fewer good chances. Pegs had a wide open net off a pretty feed by McCutcheon at about 15:00 but the puck knuckled, then Abbott almost connected on a pass right in front with 2 seconds to go.
Between periods, Jason is interviewing the President of the Lollipop Guild.
hah!
he said he's "from cstv"..i assume he's behind the camera?

The Yale radio guys are painting a glim picture for their fans... pretty pathetic.
It's been a long season in New Haven. I respect the fans who showed up.
Now, crush them.
Mole misses an open net.
I swear I'm not making that up.
UAA - 2 [6:06, 18:28]
Minny - 1 [18:50] end of 1st
Anyone else's Gametracker die?
My Gametracker was frozen forever midway through the 2nd, but it's recovered and is now in sync.

Moulson 1-3-4 and Cook 1-2-3 on the weekend.

McKee's 57th straight game started breaks the Cornell record (Laing Kennedy).
Crosscheck on Yale, Cornell a 5x3.
Knoepfli just seconds into the 5x3. 5-1.
WOW ... that took like 3 seconds
Nevermind, I found it. Link on "Free Net Audio" should point to

Didn't I read somewhere that moles can't see?
He had a net the size of a wide-screen plasma TV to shoot at and shot it a foot wide from about eight feet away. Unbelievable.
