Wow, some reason I remember piped in music at Starr...is my memory off or is the pep band new?
didn't you catch the revival of the old thread a few days ago? about toothpaste's band?
Oh man, "Only about 2800 here...I'll take Lynah rink atmosphere any day of the week"
Starr sounds LOUD
oh man, major brain fart ::stupid::
Where is everybody? #lynah is almost empty.
National Anthems...sounds like some sort of organ
an organ with a bunch of zombies groaning in the background ::nut::
i was just thinking that myself. made me think more of a church, not a hockey game.
Loud "Red!"...but the singing is even louder...I can smell their breath from here! ;-)
"A few hundred Lynah faithful"
Puck is dropped!! LGR!! :-( :-(
Yeah, where is everybody on #lynah? Is free audio available tonight? It's not listed on Yahoo.
Both teams switch possession in the offensive zone and then Colgates ices the puck in a miss pass to Mitchell. Bitz takes the second faceoff and wins the draw
no free audio. i sprung for the college sports pass.

SLU outshooting Princeton 10-0 already. Clarkson 1-0 over Yale.
Turn around chance by Burton goes wide...faceoff stays in Cornell's zone
Sawada is hitting well early...
15:55 left to go, both teams jockeying for territory
I'll be at New Haven next Saturday Al. Sadly, longer road trips don't seem to be in the cards except perhaps for the playoffs.
Same for me, Tom. We'll be at Yale. Then we head to Thailand and will miss the final two weeks of the regular season. Hoping for Albany, though.

Still working on it...Valentines poses a problem :-)
Nice chances there by Hynes, Moulson (twice) and Krantz.
Krantz had a nice shot sticked down by Silverthorn...and Silverthorn kick saves Moulson...Cornell threatening...
Valentine's? That's two days later. :-P
12:12 left in the first, still 0-0
It's all about prioritizing or finding someone who loves Cornell hockey as much as you do.
McKee big save on Thomas.
Dartmouth 1-0 over Harvard. Princeton 1-0 over SLU.
Cornell 4 shots, Colgate 1, through the first half of the period Cornell is controlling
McKee makes a nice save on Thomas from the top of the left circle
Another nice save by David. 'Gate showing annoying signs of existence.
Silverthorn makes a nice save on Knoepfli, second chance gets cleared out before it materializes
7:31 left, big surprise that it is still scoreless ;-)

Bull ticky. I think the announcers said it hit side net at the buzzer.
Downs is being interviewed...nothing new
St. Lawrence was a frustrating win for the team...
Cornell will play conservative...take care of their own end first
If Cornell can stay focused then they will succeed...
Great matchup of goaltenders tonight...
Very disciplined team and everyone knows their roles...
Colgate is 2-6-0 when allowing the first goal, so I guess we had better score first... ::nut::
Dont forget that we are 12-0-1 when scoring the first goal, I would say that is a good combo to have
Iggy draws a penalty, Cornell going on pp#1.

Jon Smyth off at 11:28 for high sticking
Brown 2-0 over UVM

Hynes and McKinnon yapping as they head to their respective benches
Topher skates in strong but goes wide with the shot
Huculak and Pokulok are a mouth full when put together
Bonsoir Lynah Faithful!
Thank you for the score update. I am in Paris this week, celebrating my 40th birthday. The weather has been surprisingly mild (compared to the forecast that is), even though it only hovered around the low 40s. We have enjoyed two afternoons of sunshine, if you could believe it.
Let's hope Cornell pulls out a dramatic win by the end of the 3rd. Let's Go Red!
Back to bed...Tom
Campaner wrists the puck right into Winchesters throat...he gets up to polite applause
Shots are even at 16...
Yashin coughs up the pick on a give and go as Vart turns and fires but Silverthorn is up to the task
Every time he says "Campaner" I hear "catheter."

Need to focus on playing their game to maintain six game unbeaten streak

14 of our 17 shots from just two power plays - is that correct?

Now you're just padding your stats... ;-)
If those are the Gametracker shots, I think they're bunk. I've seen 2 min pp's listed with 12 shots, and I've seen more shots awarded on the pp than in the game. It's buggy, or it's "chances" mislabeled, or something.

Yeah, clock is updated very infrequently so it's PP stats are a little screwy
Cornell/Colgate game just got some good air time on CSTV...no highlights but a lot of talk about McKee and Silverthorn being the best goalies in the ECAC(HL)
I think livestats PP shots means all shots, not just SOG.
PU 2-1 over SLU
Hynes puts on a nice move but shoots just wide.
Hynes skates in strong but misses wide with the back hand...Krantz then fires wide from distance
Or it might be the screwy way they update the clock.
Wow, it took way too long to figure out where 120 minutes of hockey comes from. I really hope there's no extra innings!
[Q]Al DeFlorio Wrote:

That makes sense. It isn't an error from clock updates, because it keeps the pp time perfectly, and all the game events (like SOG) are timestamped.

haha! Great point...130 minutes wouldn't be cool
Two Trevelyan goals in 11 seconds makes it 3-2 SLU. Then Sproat ties it for PU.
End to end action but not many shots
Pegs stopped by Silverthorn.
Topher Scott misses the backhand chance and Silverthorn gloves the rebound...Colgate fans explode in relief
Silverthorn with a few great saves ... :-(
Carefoot almost snuck it through off of the faceoff but it goes just wide...Iggy makes space and Silverthorn saves...Colgate gets it out of the zone
Union may score more goals tonight than they did in January...
Not really (11), but primarily because they scored 4 in their first game of the calendar year.
Colgate pp #3.
Cornell takes the penalty as the broadcast goes to commercial
12:10 left in the third...Cook for hooking
McKee a big save on Smith.
4-3 SLU
Gotta stay outa that box!
That's a hat for Trevelyan.
Mitchell one timer goes wide...Cornell clears the zone with 42 seconds left on the PP
pp expires.
50 miniutes down, still no score
Too bad this is not nationally televised or this would creates tons of Hobey hype for McKee some huge saves in this game
a) Didn't Colgate change names -- from Red Raiders to just Raiders? Should someone inform the Cornell radio announcer?
b) Hasn't Silverthorn been around for about a million years?
4 total SOG in 10 minutes, according to livestats
We might have gotten away with a penalty there...
Harvard scores in last minute. :-(
a) Yes.
b) Sure seems that way.
Swanee.
Icing on Vart...the refs are calling the red line close tonight
Harvard wins :`(

Ok I have a bet with a friend over what happened in the colgate game. I need written proof from the elynah faithful as to what led to our only goal. I said Knoepfli passed the puck off the boards behind our goal and Abbott picked it up in the neutral zone and then skated down ice to pass it off to Iggulden for the goal. He says Knoepfli passed it directly across the ice to Abbott. Please this is important, $200 is on the line. Thank you.
was it a clean pass...or did it hit the boards...bc there's no way it the fuckin boards if it was so clean to abbot? let us fuckers know. yeaaaaaa 2 point friiiiiiiiday mother fuckkkkkers!!!!!!
Well, even though I'm not too happy with the previous language (it reminds me too much of the Gate fans at the game), I did watch the replay. It does look like he was backhanding it off the boards, but it's not well seen, with a Gate checker right with him. Maybe once I make a VHS it can be slowed down to see, but I doubt it. They never showed a different angle of the very beginning of that play.
But the play was Downs shooting the puck around the boards, after the faceoff to the right of McKee. Knoepfli and the Gate checker were on the left boards and that's where the difficult to see happens.
So I don't think either of you can be declared a winner.:`(
