So says the CSTV website in their preview of tonights game.
[Q] Junior goalkeeper Dustin Traylen had a lot to do with Clarkson's wins at Lynah last season, but he will not start Friday's game, as Roll has benched him for taking a bad penalty last week against RPI. That leaves freshman David Leggio and sophomore Kyle McNulty to compete for the start. [/Q] ::rolleyes::
From the game story online:
>>> [Late in the third period with Clarkson down by one ... ] The momentum was squarely in the Knight's [sic] favor when Traylen took perhaps the stupidest penalty that a player could take. Engineer Kevin Broad was forechecking and planted himself in front of Traylen with 1:47 remaining in the third. Broad goaded Traylen a little and Traylen took a left-handed swipe that connected with Broad's head. Peter Feola saw it and called the roughing penalty on him. That set the Knights down a man. From there the Engineers closed out the game and took home their first North Country sweep since 1985. http://www.uscho.com/recaps/20042005/m/01/22/rpi-ckn.php
What a punk. He deserves much credit for the way he played in game 3 last year. And I don't even blame him for mocking A & B last year when game 3 was in hand and he successfully endured 3 nights of taunting from the faithful. But it sure made me hate him!
He did play well, but I thought he got away with a bit of thuggery in the first two games.
