Title: HockeyCam feed for Dartmouth game
Post by: jtwcornell91 on January 21, 2005, 06:46:05 PM
Anyone got a feed yet?  We're like halfway through the pregame, and nothing.

Anyone get this?

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. In the Open URL dialog, try opening the file using a different transport protocol (for example, "mms:").

I get something vaguely like that, but it's the same thing I get when the feed is not active.

My message says "cannot connect to the server."  Says it might not be available, which is what I'd bet on.  CU Athletics goes only first class, eh?

On XMI's front page

NOTICE:
All Internet connections to Lynah Rink are down. We worked with Cornell to fix this same problem in December. We checked again late last week, and everything was working.

Tonight, the connection was down again. We are extremely disappointed. We are trying to connect through a nearby office. If this works, we will be online by 7:15 pm tonight.

Cornell tells us they will try and fix the problem for tomorrow. There will be a post in this space updating you.

yup well done.. lets put it on a radio station that cant be relied on or tuned in 10 miles from the city and the take away the free Cam and charge for it and then have it not work half the time and then also dont give any refunds for the lose of service.. should we just go to best buy and buy a roll of cat 5 or something and run it over there ourselves?

Umm. Isn't the NOC over in Rhodesia?

Last time I checked you had a Hoy Field, the squash courts, a parking lot and 2 roads in between the two buildings. Line of sight maybe, but hardly next door.

That's what age did, remember? They removed it and left it on his chair in biotech while he was at lunch.

no i meant call the NOC and have them come and fix the problem.. but there is network connections in the b-ball building and the wrestling building as well as teagle all are just ft away.. there is also wireless but thats probably not bandwidth capable..
