Title: Tuesday at the Rink
Post by: Bio '04 on January 18, 2005, 02:03:44 PM
Just saw this posted on USCHO:

[Q]USCHO and CSTV have combined to start "Tuesday at The Rink," a weekly chat session with college hockey insiders. This week begins with USCHO columnist and CSTV analyst Adam Wodon at 2 p.m. ET, followed by CSTV analyst and junior hockey coach Dave Starman at 3 p.m. ET. EDIT: forgot to mention that this is going on RIGHT NOW until 3 for Adam Wodon.

Great job by Adam, see

I especially liked " the true meaning of college hockey -- playing hockey AND getting an education."  That should be obvious, but gets lost in big time athletic programs.
I thought the quality of selected questions was real good as well.

Good job by Adam.  There is another chat session with a different analyst continuing right now.  Either the audience has been pretty intelligent, or the question screener is doing a great job. ;-)

Adam has a really strong, at-his-fingertips, knowledge of college hockey. Guy knows his stuff.

The best and worst part was that he was fair to virtually every team, coach, and player he mentioned. This was not the place to ask, "What's the most boneheaded play you've seen this year?" or "Can you tell me three coaches who *deserve* to be canned come April?" But then if you ever heard him last year on the radio Webcasts when he was live on the Webcast but muted on WHCU, and (forgetting part of the feed was still live) he had the chance to slam somebody - player, coach, ref, likely blowout - he didn't.

When Bill Scheft (The Show, SI) goes on leave, Adam is unlikely to be the fill-in writer.

Gee, he didn't wait until the feed was muted to make fun of me. :-P

If so, to paraphrase Archie Bunker then, he was man enough to stab you in the back to your face.
