Are there any Cornell Hockey fans in Orange County, CA? I'll have the Fox Sports Grill at the Irvine Spectrum put Cornell-Clarkson game (Jan. 28) on a couple of their TVs. They have done this for me twice before even though I was the only one watching. If there are any of you out there, come on out and cheer on the Big Red!
Way to go, California hockey! There are a bunch of Silicon Valley types, both the normal people and the normal people who hit it right in the dot com era, who are gaga over the Sharks. If California ever develops seropis college hockey, or lacrosse, Stanford will be in the Final Four darn quick. I'm still not sure why I picked Ithaca over Palo Alto other than it was a $5 bus ride home at Christmas not a $500 plane ride. But think of all the money you save not buying ski parkas.

Stanford in the Frozen Four? I like it.:-D
Since there's already a thread about hockey in California, I might as well give my team a plug...
If you're in the Bay Area, UCLA is playing Stanford on Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 at Belmont Iceland, 815 Old County Road, Belmont, CA 94002. If you go, root for UCLA...there's a Cornell grad on the team.

It's a rebuilding year.
Since the UCLA-Stanford banter has long since waned, I have to give this a bump.
Alls I knows is we whupped their asses in bastketball this past weekend.
nice to know you have basketball...but your boys forfeited in hockey last Saturday to end up 0-4 against us on the season. what's up with that?

Yeah, hockey's a little weak, we'll just have to get by with all our other teams that has given us 10 straight Directors Cups... :`(

It must be the one sport where Stanford doesn't reload. ;-)
shoot, I should have read the entire thread before posting (reload)... :-P
The game starts at 5 PM PST (8 PM EST) even though some sources list it as 4 PM PST.
Is there anybody out there (Cornell hockey fans amongst the 3 million people in OC)?
Anybody there?
Anybody out there?
Does anybody care?
If so please post or send me a message that you'll be at the Fox Sports Grill at the Irvine Spectrum. If no one replies by an hour before game time, I'll assume I'm one in 3 million and will probably watch the game at Wings N Things at 18302 Beach Blvd. in Huntington Beach. The Clarkson Alumni are hosting a gathering there.
One other Cornell alum and I joined a Clarkson alumni gathering to watch the game in Huntington Beach. The Clarkson fans invited us to join them at their table in front of the TV. After the game was over, Rich from Newport Beach picked up our tab for beer and wings because Cornell won the game. No, we didn't have a bet on the game, he and his group were just a very class act. Thanks again Rich.
