Absolutely amazing as to how Maine can still be ranked and Michigan State not be.

For comparison's sake, in the first post-break poll of the previous three years Cornell has been:

2002: 13th (final: 9th)
2003: 4th (final: 1st)
2004: 9th (final: 20th)

And St. Cloud, in my opinion... but then again I haven't been following their season enough to really be a good judge of these things.

[q]And St. Cloud, in my opinion... [/q]St. Cloud ihas lost more games than they've won (8-10-2) and looks even worse in conference (Tied 8th, 4-8-0).  I don't care how good you think the WCHA is - it's pretty unreasonable to vote for St. Cloud in national polls.  Even KRACH doesn't rate them in the top 15 (barely - SCSU is 16).

Well, I stand corrected, then.  Like I said, my only exposure to them was through the Everblades.

Hopefully this coming weekend will work to our advantage :)

omg, the Washington Post was so deprived of sports news that it actually published the USCHO poll today.  The only time it normally cares about college hockey is when the NCAA brackets are announced (or there's a local kid involved - see Jeff Halpern, Steve Werner).  All this extra space w/o the Caps playing :-/
