Post by: littleredfan on March 15, 2002, 06:07:17 PM
I know there's still awhile until gametime, but I'm excited. Post scores+commentary here, esp those who have access to a television. :-D

Disagree. We have to win, but I want that game to go to triple overtime.

Throughout the year I've thought Cook's played some great D and had great hustle and speed, and always seemed to pass up the shot in favor of passing it to a teammate.  I guess the coaches have seen the same thing--I believe he's played in every game so far, and as a freshman too.  Its great to see him get these goals...a testament to the team's depth, and maybe a marker of what we can see from him in the next couple of years!

Underhill makes an amazing save according to the broadcast, and Wieckowski and Murray both hit posts

Goalie Post Sieve, Goalie Post Sieve!  WOW, Murray's shot from the blue line was incredible, I'm watching on NESN and Underhill made a few incredible saves too.  Although I have to say, it looks like the refs are trying to keep RPI in this game.

What does the Clarkson loss mean for Cornell's chances for a NCAA bid/bye?

so after 2 periods i realized that grady is on the normal broadcast. i was confused b/c i thought all the games were going to be on weos. oh well, i am listening to grady now. gotta admit that i liked whomever was doing the weos broadcast a lot. he was great. but grady is the best!
LGR! ::nut::

I should take that ref comment back, they did blow some pretty obviouse calls, but they haven't called a single one on us all night and we just went on our 3rd, and the Power Play is looking pretty good!

The TV guys are getting tired, they're not calling the play by play very well.  I guess I can't blame them, the same two are doing back to back games.

YEAH BABY YEAH!

Great shutout for Undy, great overall team effort, way to go Cook, and I have to say it, RPI looked tired.

Shutting out the #1/2 offensive punch; making them eat their words...a sweet victory.  Sweeter still would be a victory tommorrow against Hahvahd.  Grumet-Morris was supposedly extremely solid in goal tonight, and tested a lot.  Underhill, by comparison, made 20 saves and was tested maybe 3 times through the game (from what I've heard).  I feel the goalie situation will be about equal tommorrow night.  Hahvahd packs an offensive punch; but if we were able to neutralize RPI's offense, then hopefully we'll be able to handle Cambridge Community College also.

It might end up coming down to (doesn't it always?) our tight defense, harvard playing a *slightly* more tiring OT game (though maybe neutralized by the extra rest they are getting by playing the 4pm game), and some opportunistic goals by our boys in Red.

Let's go Red!!!!!! 60 more minutes of hockey!!!
